Just keep studying and realize you will have bad days. This training was def set up for a more experienced pilot base but is doable if you put in the extra effort. Don't expect the school to prepare you for much, take the initiative and run with it. Study in small groups and change up your study partners. Good luck!
That's excellent advice.

Good advice. Its not like its ERAU or any other "factory school"that they spoon feed you. Get ready to drink from that fire hose.

Factory school's don't spoon feed you one bit. I didn't go to ERAU, but did go to UND. I have also taken part 61 rides with Designated Examiners, and I'm here to tell ya, it was a walk in the park compared to your so called 'factory school' spoon feeding. Not so true. But anyone can make it through our training if you put the time and effort in, regardless of where you did your training previously.

Regardless; Factory mill school vs Mom&pops FBO= same training for much LESS money.

Not going to argue. I went in the 90's. The cost from then to now, is a lot more. But I will argue the training was a lot more intense than 61. I instructed 61 after I graduated, and no DE put my students through the ringer like I got on a regular basis 141. But it's an individual choice, where ever you want to train is up to you.

Really any 141 or 142 school is typically going to be better than a 61 school. ATP is one exception of course, they are very well organized. With part 61 you never really know what you are getting, could be great but many times kind of shady.

For you Eagle guys who have been based in San Juan, did any of you move out there or do most commute? Could anybody tell me what it's like to live out there?
