If your halfway up your list and you remain halfway up the new list why should you give a damn who is next to you on the new list?

On the other hand, why should someone from one airline who is halfway up their list be pushed back towards the bottom of a new list? Because they been flying 121 for a year or two less then you? No one gets credit for 121 time served. If that is what makes sense then push for a national seniority list.

We should all just sit back, relax and wait for the people who are tasked with the job get it done. ...or you can keep the debate going but you might as well stick your head in a vice!
Because we are not talking one or two years here

can anyone confirm or deny (preferably deny) that the Mesaba MEC sent a letter to the arbitrator (who then forwarded it to the Pinnacle MEC) arguing for XJ deserving better seniority because of the Jeff city and Colgan crash (safer airline should get better seniority)? I really hope this is a bs rumor I can't see any MEC stooping that low.

We will have to wait and see what the arbitrator comes up with, but junior Colgan guys that were fortunate enough to upgrade early are going to be junior captains a long time if XJ and 9E FOs are willing to change bases, no matter how they integrate the lists.
I benefit from DOH, and I think it's a bad idea.

I hear you but that's not the point. That is why they will probably use some sort of combined method and not simply DOH or Relative.

My definition doesn't matter. Only the arbitrator's does.

If the props paid the same as the jets then it wouldn't be as bad (still bad though).

I's not meant to be inflammatory (hence giving your MEC the benefit of the doubt and saying I hope it's not true) but I heard it from 2 9e guys AND and XJ pilot....had I not heard it from an XJ guy you are right it would not be noteworthy.

Let's pretend for a second that this was true... why would the arbitrator ( a professional dispute resolution expert) forward a clearly inflammatory letter to the Pinnacle MEC? Obviously that would tick pinnacle off and I just don't think the arbitrator is that stupid. And all of that ignores that the XJ MEC isn't that stupid either. They seem like guys with their heads screwed on straight. I call BS on the whole rumor.

I have no information about any letter but as an XJ person, I would be ****ed if I was a 9e pilot and I heard this. I do know the guys on our committee and I really hope that isn't true.
I can't imagine what possible benefit this would give me...The only thing I can think of is some guys trying to stop the BS from 9e about the 3 for 1 or 5 for 1 seniority credit.
Honestly I hope there is no truth to this. I'd be embarrassed if we even discussed it, let alone actually sent the letter.

Now I wasn't here when the 9e guys came over to fly the SAAB's but I know that none of the ones I spoke to over the last 8 years have said they were screwed in the deal. Plus 3 or 4 of them are still here.

Good morning.
