ATTN ANYONE INTERSTED IN APPLYING/INTERVIEWING WITH GIA.

I spoke with the recruiter on the phone expressing my lack of interest in paying $300/mo. He mentioned he will be speaking with higher ups to let him now that he is getting a lot of "thanks but no thanks" from applicants. If applicants continue to do this than he wont require to pay for training because they have a business to run and they wont have pilots coming through the door.

I told him I would be interested if I can get Saab CA pay and not PFT, and he is going to contact me on Monday after he talks to whomever is the Higher Up Brass.

I also agree that a B1900 training curriculum can NOT cost anywhere near $18k.

I will also ask the interview board if I have a broken TCAS and a pressurization leak, what will they do when I call dispatch and refuse to fly (like pilot Kenny Edwards when he was fired). If they say they wil discipline me, than the interview is over. But I think the company has possibly learned from a $1.3mill fine they cant continue that. We'll see!! A interview opportunity at the least...

Cape has done their fair share of battle with GIA in obtaining EAS contracts, even with the 9 seaters. The sad thing is our pay is the same for half the seats.

I don't think they are looking for "troublemakers" like you.

Funny, I just gave that same "thanks, but no thanks" call and got the "thanks for the call, best of luck" reply...

That's really disheartening because at one time I had considered pursuing a career with GIA, especially when I had learned that the Academy was gone. I really thought that GIA was on the up and up when they dissovled the Academy. Being that they are headquartered at FLL and I wouldn't have mind enjoying a career where I could possibly be home every night really appealed to me. I live in West Palm Beach, FL. Now that this turn of events has occurred, they're off my list again.

FO.

What would they rather be/have:
A) An airline with no planes
B) Planes with no pilots
C) Pilots with no training
D) A bank account with no money
Something's gotta give...

What can i do with a Boeing type? Especially if you dont have any turbine PIC, or time in aircraft or similar, waste of money. So that comment doesnt have any value
