If someone got hired at an airline with less than 250hrs PIC should not be a captain, even logging SIC as a PIC.

Ok, I have over 3000 hours just in the dash8 but only 200 hrs pic. Are you to tell me that some newhire that's been flight instructing with no 121 experience is more qualified to be captain than I am? I understand your argument but do you think 500 hours of flying Vfr pattern work is going to make me one hell of a captain? I dont think so, but I'd be able to fly one hell of a box pattern
why? Cause you need 250 PIC in which:
-100 hrs of xcountry time
-25 hrs night time
There are rules to follow, you don't have the flight time stated by the FARs, you can have 3000 in the 747 and still not be qualified to be a captain.

I am in a similar place, at pinnacle 4200 hours of SIC and I just got my ATP on my own, when to a ma, pa type place and only have like 200 hours of PiC , notch cross country, my APD told me a lot of people are getting this reg wrong. But one can get their ATP with low Pic time , they are just using come of your SIc time to do so.
Yes
You are good to go, and no you do not have to take another written, mine was more than 2 years old, so I took it again. Come to find out when I did my ride it was a waist of money, guy said that a lot of people get that question wrong. So I gave him two valid writtens

Two valid writtens? I had to surrender my expired written exam report in order to retake it. It was my understanding an expired written was accepted in an airline-approved course but a valid un-expired one was required if attempting part 61.

What is your point? If a guy is gonna a cheat, he's gonna cheat! At least the pencil-whipper is smart enough not to waste money idling an engine for hours on end.

So if you say you have 3000hrs in the dash and 200hrs PIC, probably got the job straight after commercial.
All guys that got hired in 2007-2008 are hurt because they (including you) might never be captain unless, you go back to what you had supposed to be done before getting in a airline.
