Corrected the logbook.

Do not remove the PIC from your logbook.

To me, it mattered more to have my times line up correctly. There's no other way to line them up in Airline Apps vs logbook. Honestly, I have turboprop PIC time, so adjusting 50hrs PIC in a 152 didn't bother me. Just my .02 do whatever works for you.

There is no future there. No new airplanes. Nothing but reduced flying. Acey getting ready to come into DFW Skywest already took over lax. Sju closing. The next announcement will be republic coming into Dfw to fly the ejets. I figure my group early '11 hire is at best a 5-6 yr upgrade.
Just for the record this is bad info.
The 824 is not a defined group of people. It's a number that will actually flow. If someone turns it down the next guy will go until 824 people actually leave. Even after that the rest will still flow it will just be at 1/3 of new hire classes instead of 50%. (All hired before Nov. 2011)

The Skywest,Xjet stuff they are taking from Eagle I think is only because they simply won't be able to staff it and a combination to spread out the feed. I agree with those that Eagle will reduce quite a bit because they will transition to larger RJs.

Our President Garton was in the DFW crew room today and told everyone we are getting bigger RJs and the announcement will come soon.

As far as 600 people coming to Eagle. I'll believe it when I see it. I think they would like to get that but I just don't see it happening. Some may see that and think "oh cool I'll have 600 people below me in a year"..
I doubt it.

If I was young and have my ducks in a row for an aviation career I would go somewhere and get the PIC fast. 12 Years ago it was totally different but with the hiring boom coming better to go somewhere else get your PIC and move on. Eagle is a good place to work as far as regionals though.

What I am having a hard time grasping is why Eagle would penalize you for having PIC in the book during IFR training. So, if Airline Ap's doesn't calculate it that way it shouldn't be an issue since the regs allow this. I'm I wrong?

I can't speak to Eagle, but Skywest looks at airline apps totals as they look through your logbook comparing times. I opted to not give them extra questions to ask regarding the discrepancy and it worked out for me. Like I said, do what you're comfortable with.

he/she is too experienced. has pic time and will leave tomorrow for a mainline job if offered. Eagle is looking ( and has been for a long time) to fill the bottom and keep it filled as the top leave. leaving from both ends at the same time tends to be a problem for eagle management doofs.

Maybe they should offer 5-10000 dollars bonus for those not leaving.
