Eaglefly: ALPA only protects the jobs of people who shouldn't have them in the first place. Choke a flight attendant or run around a hotel room naked and they'll get your job back. Be productive and unified on a national level? No way.

Why do you keep ignoring my reply to your rising healthcare cost excuse?

Lol not sure why I put room there, must not have been paying attention. The guy ran around a hotel room naked and beat on the flight attendant's door.

the health care issue is the least of our worries, all healthcare will be increasing so 5% isn't a big deal. Not to mention a side effect of ObamaCare could end up being competitive rates on health exchanges meaning we won't even use the company supplied care.

I'm done with the contract argument, everyone has opinions that aren't changing. It's a pointless discussion.

The last deal failed because Glass & Co. played an old hand that always worked in the past, but failed this time. They played that hand because they smelled the usual weaknesses.....weakness that you by the way ooooze.

I think you've been watching too much FOX news and you've stopped thinking for yourself. That propaganda machine will turn your brain into hysterioparanoidal mush. Do these situations happen ?

Of course, but that's an extreme minority of the baggage that unions bring. I'll agree that ALPA has become worthless and frankly, regional pilots should dump them enmasse, but the alternative without them would be far worse in this business. You see, airline executives are notorious for their inability to recognize or adhere to reasonable boundaries and are essentially greedy little children that act on impulse. Let's face it, if this business treated its employees well and compensated them fairly, there would be no need for unions, yet this industry is infested with them.

How about carriers like Jet Blue that start off all touchy feely ?

That's easy to do when all your employees are at first year scale and/or are working for well under competitive rates for the same work. What happens when longevity kicks in and/or workers wake-up and see they're giving away their labor to line the pockets of those taking advantage ?

Exactly what's happening at Jet Blue.

Airline management is its own worst enemy and no one wants to be a regional new-hire because of exactly what makes people like Parker, Kirby and Glass multimillionaires. It's also in that position for the very philosophies you cling to like a pouting schoolgirl.

Eaglefly that is not what happened at all and if you still worked here maybe you would know.

The last deal failed because Jerry Glass jerked the Union around for 2 months...making appointments and not showing up..not handing over contract points in writing, etc... Eventually the Union became frustrated and decided to take their proposal directly to Parker and cut the middle man out.

That is when it broke down. It is also when they found out somebody had already been going directly to the company for a while, although I don't believe he was the reason for talks breaking down.

You really need to step back..you don't work here anymore. You flowed to AA and better be thankful for that flow because you would never have been hired if you had to interview. Now you keep coming to Envoy threads like God's gift to aviation as if you have anything to contribute. This is our problem now, not yours but ours for better or worse.

Numerous shenanigans occurred, but YOU need to consider what happened behind why those occurred. Then again, when have you ever done that ?

You're too busy running away.

A demand to "step back" from YOU ?

I'd sooner take advice from the other members of CLR.

LOL ! That'll be the day......and you're the LAST person who should be lecturing me or ANYONE on ANY aspect of the former flow thru. You don't know Jack squat about where I would have gotten hired, nor my competitive credentials. Take about someone out of his league who should step back.

I'll make you a deal. You first go out and buy a pair of cajones and THEN come back here and ask again. I make it a rule to never take advice from those bankrupt of courage.

Your "competitive credentials"????

What do you have? A moon walk and a shuttle landing? Hate to break it to you, John Glenn...but your credentials are average compared to everyone else who applies to mainline.

And mainline carriers have a policy of not hiring people with medical issues or who are severely overweight. They don't want someone who is one breath away from a heart attack and/or diabetes.

You and many others who have flowed better get down on your knees nightly and be thankful for the flow.

That point was you know nothing about them, yet you imply you do. I guess you've spent so much time trying to con Envoy pilots, you think that will fly with me.

It won't.

What does this have to do with the price of eggs ?

Answer : Nothing. ( I'm not overweight for my height, nor have diabetes).

This is just you thinking you also know my physical attributes, like my professional credentials and attempting to use that as an attack tool. Of course, like your past efforts, I'm afraid you've failed miserably here too.

But it DID serve a useful purpose. All pilots (Envoy in particular) should note the tactics anti-union lackeys will go to in the effort to establish an upper hand.

Yes, were all unqualified losers (apparently fat and diabetic as well). You know, you're really starting to come across as quite desperate and pretty pathetic. You attempted to preach in the past how personal attack is a sign of one losing credibility and it looks like you're not heeding your own advice.

Jerry would NOT be happy and this is NOT good for your little business. You're supposed to be better at manipulating pilots and continued failure might mean Jerry doesn't want your help anymore.

If you flowed it means you were unable to get in through the front door elsewhere, he has a point. I find it interesting you don't want envoy pilots to vote for the exact same mechanism that got you to a legacy.
