I had an issue as a new-hire 3 years ago during my initial sim training. PP quickly resolved it. BR helped.

I'm still at AirWis. Attitude goes a long way here.

Good Luck.

thinking about making a move to AWAC...got a few questions...
-whats the likelyhood of getting PHL out of training
-whats the amount of time sitting reserve in PHL
-even on reserve, can i expect to fly much?
not looking for a quick upgrade just looking for something thats an easier commute and a little closer to home.

ill go quote once again what i was told the other day in the interview but im sure some line guys will roll their eyes, they said PHL and DCA are two biggest and are easy to bid, 3-6 monthes reserve typical but its rare to sit reserve 6 monthes before holding line. they said you can fly as much or as little as you want if that makes a differance and the amount of captains leaving for majors is on the rise

Wish you were still here B.R but I'm happy for you that you moved onto bigger and better things at the majors.
I'm not sure who you are, but I greatly appreciate the compliment. Although having a high pass rate for sign offs was a nice benefit, feeling like I helped someone become a better pilot (first, second, or even third attempt) was what kept me sane after 3 years in the box. I am happy where I am now, but I am a small fish in a very big sea. I miss teaching a lot. I wish there was a way I could work for AWAC in some capacity, perhaps teaching new instructors how to be good teachers....but the FAA doesn't work that way, and neither do the bean counters.

This is pretty close to accurate. ORF is the easiest base and fastest to a line bid. LGA I think is 2nd. PHL and DCA are large bases but even those times to a line bid are pretty short. Three years ago it took me a year ot get a line in DCA.

We need FOs so you will get plenty of flight time of reserve...the line is indeed moving.

might start s--- storm but whats your take on signing a contract beyond 2015 with any carrier. someone i was interviewing with said he heard a rumor they may start talks up with delta again, but this wasnt confirmed and jonathon said later the ended talks with delta which everyone already knows.

Awac is very annoying in the way handles certain items. We have a company q&a, all the answers are about as vague as it gets. do we have a contract past 2015? AWACS answer- Awac has a proud 50 year history of being a top tier regional, and we intend to fly another 50 years as a leader in the industry.
Does the new AA paint mean a contract extention? AWACS answer- we cannot confirm that this means an extention.

Hiring is steady, but it would seem like it's for attrition mostly on the f/o side. As a ****ed off employee I wouldn't believe anything management says.

We seem to be upgrading ahead of CA attrition. Even with the loss of the Delta flying, we still have staffing numbers at what seems to be a record level even though we still only have 71 airplanes.
