IBT hasn't put out any guidance for the RAH pilots regarding the new Part 117 rules. But don't worry guys we managed to get the company to switch to mandatory leather jackets instead of blazers and coats. Oh and you'll each have to buy your own $400+ leather jacket. At least that's the proposal we will supposedly vote on sometime TBD.

What do the senior pilots here think? Great idea! And how do they feel about the burden this places on FOs and new hires? Well they think FOs should be able to afford it by the time the deadline comes in 3 years. New hires can use their $5,000 bonus.

Can't make this up. Comical. Think hard about joining this pilot group new hires. Guess we have a bunch of Tim Martins here.

The current specs on the E175-E2 call for almost 98,000 lbs MGW and an increase in the BOW by 11,000 lbs over the E175+ variant. Or you remove passengers AND fuel to make it a gigantic 50-seat airplane with limited range.

For the smallest MRJ models, it might be a different story, but for the ERJ, there is really no alternative to revised scope

These airplanes are years away, much can change in the meantime. How is the BOW increasing by 11k? I know the airplane is adding an extra row and geared engines are heavier but an increase of 11k is significant. But like I said much can change in SCOPE between now and then, look how Delta allowed more 76 seaters in exchange for less overall seats in the regionals.

The 11k number came from Bedford in a letter to us about the E2. In addition to the list of the items you listed, don't forget all new wing and new landing gear (which has to be taller and stronger for new engines + additional weight).

A coworker of mine went to an interview and heard that negotiations were to resume Monday and conclude today. Any news?

No news about the meetings, but they are giving new hires an additional 1k on top of the 5k for coming to classes before jan.

Well. Negotiations did start up again and thanks to the spineless folks at Endeavor and Brownstreak we have even less leverage than we did before. I'm fully expecting a crappy TA to be jammed down our throats at sometime in the near future.
