All single pilot
ATP, 1 Type
No 4 year degree.
Earning a living wage at an uncommutable job that you can't take with you.
Have to move to Philadelphia soon.
I've read the entirety of the Republic and Air Wisconsin threads. I get what the problems are at each one, and want to avoid both if at all possible.
What's a better option than Republic?

Awac would be a better option.

Ever think about applying at Spirit? The upgrade there is just as short as a regional and you look like you meet their requirements.

Awac is a big risk though. Who knows where theyll be in 2 yrs. Rah does have one of the worst contracts. Id go with rah if and only if you are in phl. Its a toss up. Good luck man. Pm me if you wanna talk rah. I was phl based-left for bettr life.

Not really sure what to tell you. If you want to live in base I'd apply at Air Wisconsin and Republic and see who calls you. I've been at Republic for 6+ years and yes I want out as badly as everyone else. The relationship we have with our management team is garbage, we have been working on a contract the whole time I've been here, outstation basing sucks if you commute. But is it as bad as everyone makes it out to be on the different forums? No.

You have to go to a job Fair to get the "long app" from Spirit. Kinda a pain but I think it's a better option than rotting away at a regional when you already have plenty of time.
