Nobody in their right mind should sift through some of these threads to research or find answers to specific questions.
Just ask a question and don't worry if it's been asked before. Things in this industry change day by day. That's the point of this forum I thought anyway.

OK. So I let a few trolls get in the way of me asking questions that may help me.
I have another question that I will apologize in advance to those that seem to have a problem with my extreme laziness. I blame my parents for how I am and will let them know they have failed in raising me well but once again. Thanks for bringing this shortfall to my attention.
My question to those that would be so kind to share, do you know of future firmed up class dates on the E170/190? That kind of information helps me in my continuing failed attempt to predict my aviation future.
Thanks again.

When I look at the pairings in my base and see that nearly every single multi day trip that has reasonable credit starts before 8am and returns after 8pm, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When I am waiting for a van for a 26 hour overnight at a crap hotel in the middle of freaking NOWHERE and get to talking to other regional crews also waiting in the ground transportation area to be taken to a downtown hotel with plenty of activities nearby AND a shorter overnight, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When crew pay tells me that they have "no mechanism" for properly pay protecting pilots for reassignments, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When the company argues that a seat isn't really a seat in order to screw pilots out if a few dollars per hour if pay, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When a mechanic tells me the our certificate's MX head operates by the "just get it out the door" philosophy in regard to aircraft repairs and service, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When I read on the corporate site that said MX head was recently PROMOTED, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When the company has fostered such a toxic environment that voluntary FDP extensions denials are nearly universal, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
When I talk to other regional pilots and learn that they are not getting fleeced on travel benefits like we are, I realize that I've chosen poorly.
All regionals are NOT the same. RJET is far worst than most.
....and before anyone brings up the sophomoric notion that we are better than Lakes, Silver, etc., spare me. That apples to oranges comparison is simply ludicrous.
However, if one is content flying a large turbojet between mainline hubs for bennies and pay that are only marginally better than the small, all-turboprop operators, by all means, chose RJET.
I'm also curious to know exactly what being a lifer, which I most certainly am not, has to do with anything I said.
When I was researching employers in late 2010/ early 2011, no one was on these boards sounding the warning on RJET. I didn't have the benefit of the company's pay an working conditions being the topic of social media outlets and I wish I had. That's why I'm here.
As a side note, I should say that I'm not surprised in the number if recent new hires who failed to heed the advice of those on this message board and our own union's website, who are now on our inion's message board ****ing and whining about there lot in life. Hard to feel sorry for them, but it is happening.
For those considering regional airlines for employment, chose wisely.
