Comparing Republics training contract to a loan/mortgage is apples to oranges.
The most telling part is the fact that the company has had pilots leaving for years who haven't heard a peep... Suddenly, after a pathetic excuse for a TA, the flood gates have opened and the exodus has begun and the company is changing its procedures.
Legal probably, but hardly ethical.

Grievances... You mean those things that sit for months on end then mysteriously get thrown out.

Maybe to a KID like you it's apples and oranges, but a commitment IS a commitment. How dare my wife to expect me to honor my vows! Crazy and sad world it's become.

You can drink a beer on your day off. A rsv day not called is not a day off. It is as much a day off as finishing a trip at 6 am is. A day off you can non rev travel. If you call a rsv day you don't get called I've had a few lucky months at my airline where I had 25 days off total!

I'm on S5 side. Bid 1/3 from bottom in base. Consistently hold 15 days off per month. Only did 5 days of RSV before holding a line. Reassignments are a pain but if you do the pain in the butt totally uncalled for requisite email you WILL get paid for your original assignment. (Full cancellation pay would be much better though, no argument there!) Life while not roses isn't horrific on the S5 certificate.

As far as "off the wall" goes. I say things that are pretty normal. Maybe your "normal" comes from playing on your ipad all day or watching the lord of the rings saga. Maybe it is YOU that thinks "off the wall". I've taken too much of your time; time rather spent, I'm sure, facebooking your "friends" or posting of how great you are and your EVERY whereabouts.
