I agree with you, better training develops better sticks, we were big on this in the Air Force, did north of 10 sims a year on EP's and multiple locals a month to develop hands on flying. Was not complaining. As for FredEx I just have not seen them openly advertised, for years hiring there was controlled by the Air Force Academy Lacrosse team alumni!

four in class right now, Alaska bush pilot, med evacuation etc, 9 Aussies as well, I will say they are working hard to get up to speed and why they get 3 sims after indoc for glass introduction, and 74 now has basically 12 sim type events instead of industry standard 5 sims, we'll be here almost 4 months!
It is interesting to see FedEx is now actively recruiting on Indeed and other online platforms, Lots of guys here in their 20's coming from 135, 91 world, all good people, even 23 year old female in 76 class!

The “Intro to Boeing” class does a great job of introducing folks to our side of the house and has produced good results.
With Cat II/III TRAINING, difference training, upset training, LOFTS etc the sims are simply required. I can’t imagine anyone doing this level of training in 5 periods.

So 4 out of 30 plus. We find the Alaskans often bring great experience. Med evac normally means twin turbine or Jet time.

Looks like they're referring to the email that got sent regarding the 401k. True up for the 401k plan doesn't sound like it will occur until the end of the year but the 2% match (easier math, had a long post about matching and true up before I saw the email) is supposed to happen immediately.
If anyone is sticking around for 2% DC and has less than 3 years they'll be here a while. I agree with CRJJ, not sure that represents a reaction to market forces.

It would be nice to hear from the Union as to whether they are planning on (or have already) approaching the company with pay issues related to the monstrous inflation we're seeing. I'm 100% sure the company is charging customers more, and we have zero spare capacity on the planes (per JC). I would like to know that they were at least *trying* to get us some kind of improvements (yes I know we have a still wet CBA).
The weekly emails seem like a-lot of fluff recently.
Thoughts? Van driver rumors?
