Quote: Who is Endeavor's Flica administrator? I guess that...or are there any Flica Gurus out there who can help me out ? I tried doing the activation thing since it's my first time logging in and it's telling me I'm using an incorrect activation code. It says it's my birthday but following the desired format doesn't work.
You can't login until you have completed OE and you have been released by the training department. If you have already passed this stage then you can call crew scheduling and a supervisor will get you all setup in FLICA.

Ah that would do it. I thought it was LOE. Thanks for the quick reply

Quote: Actually, FIRST you have to have 1,000 121 time. That is non-negotiable, and not waivable to a lower number. Company time and TT are waivable. Not sure why anyone with 9xx hours would expect to be eligible for an upgrade?
HighFlight I believe you can credit up to 500 hours of military PIC time against the 1000, correct?

121.436. 1000 hours of 121 SIC or any combination of 121 SIC, 91K PIC and 135.243(a)1 PIC. 500 PIC hours of multi-engine fixed wing, turbine, multicrew military time can be counted as well.

Yes, sort of, but the fella I was quoting said that wasn't the case, said they were using over 900 hours of 121 time only.

More specifically, it's 500 of PIC ME FW military time as part of a crew. Not helicopter time, nor single-pilot FW time. So it's a bit of a misnomer to just say "military time".

ETA: What KSCessnaDriver said above.

If you're below the 1000 hours FAR regulatory time you won't even be considered, no matter how much total time you have. Period. I checked into it as I came up 25 short and was therefore ineligible despite having 4000 total. If you check the box without meeting the requirements your award will get pulled.

Also, on the military 500, it only counts if it's PIC of a multi-piloted FW turbine aircraft. Not only does helo time not count, neither does fighter time. Has to have 2 pilots (a navigator/WSO/RIO does not count).

I believe you to be correct, that is the way it is supposed to be. However, crjscum is claiming he knows of pilots who got the upgrade with only 900 hours of 121 time.

I suspect that those people either lied about their hours, or no logbook review was conducted at upgrade. Either way I doubt that would happen, but stranger things have happened…

Any idea how deep is the SSP pool FO & CA and if you know how many of the SSP are going to Delta's 4/24 class?

Thanks

Folks, just want to encourage anybody with a few seconds to participate in the ALPA campaign to keep the ATP requirement for FOs. It's hugely important to maintain the standard, and not allow the market to get flooded with underqualifed candidates. It's due to pressure for pilots we've seen the increases in pay and removing the ruling would be a big setback.
