It should be giving anyone with less than a year hear plently of reason to head to one of the AA wholly owned regionals rather than wait for a coin flip at best in 4-5 years from Delta

The company will have their backs against the wall as the bonus gets closer to expiration. They know that's a death sentence if it does expire

I'm sure the fluid fleet plan attributes to the longer time between notices.

With regards to retention bonuses, I would not be surprised if the company is backing down to see what happens with the 1500 hour rule in the Senate this month.

I've been hearing around July 14th for a possible initial notice date. I am sure that is also fluid.

You can just quit. You don't have to stay here and openly root for an end you your and thousands of other people's jobs. I want my job, like the company and hope negotiations go well so everyone can have a better job. Thanks for looking forward to my misery.

Here's why I think nothing will come of the 1500 hour rule, although I admit to my bias of not wanting this to happen so Im trying hard to not let that influence me.

1. ALPA is against it and is a powerful lobby group

2. Colgan family lobby group is against it.

3. Senate democratic minority leader is against it and has in so many words said he'd filibuster it if there is a further reduction in the 1500 hour rule.

The first two reasons are important, although I'm sure the airline lobby is more powerful- still there is plenty of pull in the other direction to keep it somewhat in check.

Most important is the filibuster threat- the only way around that would be changing senate rules (nuclear option), but 50 senators have signed a petition against the nuclear option for legislation so I think we are safe for the near future.

Question. Under your vision, who will fly the a/c that you have currently? DAL would never allow a MAJOR disruption to their feed. Look what they, along with AA and UAL, did for Republic.

If Envoy cannot find enough pilots to feed the fire at AA with the one interview flow program they have there's no one out there that can add the capacity that you currently have.

Reasonable people do reasonable things. Until both sides get to that point nothing is going to move either way.
