Long time lurker, first time poster.
I was just curious about a/c assignments: I have time and type in E 175 and saw that Skywest was giving out bonuses for those currently qualified on the embraer and crj. Does that mean I could expect to be placed in the E175 for initial training, or is it need/staffing based? Obviously, I'd prefer to stick with what I know since I'm old and lazy.
Thanks.

You'd probably get FAT after a few months. The most junior guy there now was hired in April 2015. And looks like only 1-2 pilots ahead of you want FAT as their first choice. If not, you could probably get SFO or something out west sooner.

Hi all, has anyone else here been assigned the ERJ initial class on 11/12? If so, have you received any study material, confirmation, etc.? I was assigned a tentative slot and looking to get an idea if the class may had filled already. Would we even hear anything at all, this soon? The silence is deafening
Thanks in advance..

They usually release the results on Friday. However, the bid normally closes on a Monday and this month it closed yesterday. I suppose it could still be processed today.
I have no idea, I would assume the data to completely fill the classes would be available to SGU by next week. Someone who has recently been in the same situation might have a better handle on when they got the confirmation. It's my impression that the CRJ classes are not capped (or at least they don't get close to the cap) and the ERJ is more limited resource wise, that's why the classes are 1/3 the size.
Welcome!
