Yes they are paying for the CTP. They will send the first group of pilots to Houston in February. Skywest pays for the course. Once the course is complete, you can take your written.

How long is the CTP course in Houston? What school are they sending you to in Houston? Is this prior to ground school? If so are you a Skywest Employee when you are doing the CTP course? I ask because of pay and seniority.

Thanks!

The CTP is done AFTER you are interviewed and if offered a job. It is also complete BEFORE the first day of ground school. Not sure why in Houston but guessing because its at the ExpressJet location but I could be wrong.

Depends on the base. If it's crj out of msp by QOL is a lot better, crj 700 out of Houston (mostly all of it is 700) then it's about the same. Chicago I would say it depends. If you want trip variety or locals/two days and even three days then crj is better choice.

People eyeing the 175, chicago is pretty much been stagnant the last few months with openings, sfo and SEA are seeing more Brazillia transitions. The only openings in chicago has been from people transfering out to SFO/SEA. So really it's kind of a hit or miss what are you will get if you are told you'll be in the 175. I think more and more new hires are on the crj. Sfo got some new hires on the 175 because people have been hesitant to get on it because they are unsure of what the trips will be like. In my opinion it will get more senior as time passes.

This past years house cleaning is long overdue. Skywest is missing another key axing. As soon as she's gone, this company can get going in the correct direction.

Default hotels

Are hotel rooms in training still double occupancy?
Is it at least a suite or something so your room has some degree of privacy?
I don't know if I could handle an extended stay america type of room situation for that long.
