A few of the Skywest 700s have Skywest airlines in various fonts, colors, and then as a few of the old colored 700s were being repainted a few started to appear with Skywest Airlines Inc. Captains wouldn't notice this if they don't do walk arounds.

I figured you did.
Now do it again but remember ASE is part of Denver base.
Suddenly we have almost 190 line holder and that's not including the FOS not bidding, of which from 190 I'm willing to bet minimum 10 per month don't bid.
You'd have to look at PBS for a DEN pilot to get a better idea. And remember that 55-60 pilots don't count since they're ASE ONLY

Did they all use to say just, "operated by Skywest Airlines"? I've never noticed the "Inc" part before. Why would they add those three letters? None of the xjt 145s say anything other than "operated by ExpressJet airlines." Why would they do that just on the skywest aircraft?

Who knows? I don't get paid enough to know let alone understand why a majority say "operated by SkyWest". Some say in basic font operated by "operated by Skywest Airlines" and then there are a few that say "Skywest Airlines, Inc". Besides all of Skywest UAX 700s are SK. The 200s for UAX have AS registration numbers.

I'm not talking about Expressjet Airlines Inc. I'm taking about Skywest Airlines Inc. Why would it say that on ASA aircraft and not XJT?

I just find it to be more than a coincidence or accident. That's not to say that there is anything nefarious about it.
