As others have said, yes, new hires on both airframes are experiencing noticeable delays. I started indoc on Sept 22, finished ground school Oct 17, and then waited till December 2 to start sims. Did my LOE on Dec 20 and my first day of IOE on Dec. 29. So that gives you an idea. I've heard the delays are longer now.

But I'd still take the CRJ if I was applying now. The majority of Bro pilots appear to be bidding the 175, meaning that very few new hires are getting the 175. And those that do get West Coast 175 bases may well get displaced by the transitioning Bro guys. I'm still concerned about that possibility for myself (just got awarded SFO on the RJ) but the likelihood of displacement on the 175 is bigger. I think.

Can anyone elaborate on the DEN base for Skywest. Size? How senior it is?

For those without ATP written, SkyWest Web states,

"Means of of obtaining CTP course..."

How are they doing this now? or are the new hires without the written get put in pool?

Thanks

They sent out an email a month or so ago for a CTP instructor position.

Are there any E175 pilots who used to fly the CRJ out there who can say what the trips are like for ya versus the CRJ? What do you think is better, QOL wise!?

222 First officers, CRJ base only but there have been E175 rumors for the future. You can currently hold DEN right out of training or at worst within a few months. Most junior lineholder is a 5/28/2012 hire.

elaborate how you come to this conclusion?

the DEN base is extremely hard to gauge lineholding without being in the base due to ASE separation.

I'm a 3/14 hire and I could've held a line both for aspen as well as regular last month.
