Yep. That's because the type of bid influences which freeze date, as I mentioned somewhat earlier.

Pretty rare and unlikely but it does happen. Expect the 200, then do differences within a couple weeks to a couple months. Then if your in a mixed base never see the 700 or 900 again for 6 months until u randomly get reflowed onto one. Or get awarded the really crappy 900 Norfolk VA stand-up that nobody wants
Haha, these crappy ORF standups are my commuting flight to the OBX! Suck to fly but glad they are late out of MSP and early out of ORF!

What's the total number of pilots on the CRJ and ERJ side?

Does anyone know on united flights what it means on the listing when it says 6 held seats? I see it often on routes like RDM to DEN? Is it a precaution for weight restriction?

I think it has more to do with if that plane goes out less than full, those held seats should be the empty for weight + balance purposes, if flight is full they can use them. My experience has been they always release the seats if they need them, they just don't want ppl selecting them. Now if there is a differed seat that is broken it will be held as well, but can't be used

Yet united gate agents always find a way to fill a and b and leave D open. Never happens on delta.

I've been senior enough to hold the 175 since the first bid for it but there's no way I'll give up my Delta and American benefits while subjecting myself to 4 day trips or crappy standups just to fly a nicer airplane. On top of the credit being higher on the CRJ and the flight benefits being better on the CRJ the pairing mix is also far better.

My credit this month is around 130 on the CRJ. That's pretty much unhead of on the E175.
First post here, but have been lurking for a while. I too am starting school early next month and want to be based at ORD. Was wondering the same thing and was hoping I would read a response like yours. The HR person at SW essentially said the same thing, so I chose the CRJ for initial. Then follow up with differences training shortly thereafter.

Can anyone comment on base and FO seniority movement if you are at a Jr base and intend on staying there (at least for the foreseable future)? Thanks.

rcfd13 nailed it on why someone should choose the CRJ over ERJ in ORD. I want the ERJ just like any person likes new stuff, but with all the advantages on the CRJ side, you wannabe hotshots can have your fancy underwing engines and autothrottles!

How many hours can I credit a month would you say once I get settled in at Skywest ? First year CRJ ORD

Would 95h be reasonable? How does it work anything over 76hr is payed at 150% ?

I'm just trying to calculate a reasonable pay first and second year that I can expect to do some planing.

Per diem would be about how many hours a month ? And is it taxed ?
