That’s the rumor I heard.
Though American seems to really like the CRJ product by how many they have purchased recently. Boggles the mind.

I heard there would be no CRJ growth planned for 2018. That was a few months ago. Virginia told that to a friend of mine when he was debating transitioning to the ERJ.

It has been a rumor since American signed their contract. Supposedly, 175’s are in the contract.

American loves the 175. Compass flies 175’s out of PHX for American. Envoy out of DFW and ORD and add 2 175’s per month. Heard Envoy was shifting their 175’s to ORD. Maybe, that is contributing to the rumor.

Everyone loves the 175 - most importantly the passengers.

I don't understand why anyone would want to buy a CRJ at this time any more. If there was ever any truth to discussing 900 lite it was only for negotiation leverage with Embraer.

The road map forward is pretty simple. Other than AS (which doesn't have a scope clause) all mainline folks are scoped out for large RJs. So if there are more large RJs being discussed it is either a swap (like the DL 175SC which were effectively swapped for XJT/ASA 700's) or someone else is losing flying.

You speak as if management cares about anything but dollar signs.
