As stated above, it’s a really good sign. It means you at least made it through the interview. I just got hired back in December, which was my second time around. The first time I interviewed, my app went to “Closed Complete” within a week and no references were called.

Management guy in class said 1450 new hires and 1000-1200 upgrades this year. Also said they want to do more of both if they can. They know they are short on instructors and these numbers are what they think they can do with staffing right now. If they can get more instructors they'll hire/upgrade more.
they want to be staffed for 1000 planes and 5000 flights ASAP.

if there’s something we all should know by now it’s to divide ALL numbers heard in the schoolhouse should be divided by at least 2!

but absolutely the reason for these predictions and the promise of ‘upgrade in 5 years’ which was met with snickers.
The question: ‘five years from what? Now, or new hire date?’ Was met with silence by the management person telling us how great the future was going to be. Standard moves.
