Meanwhile as I said earlier, those LAS trips will still pay just under 18 hours with the trip rig. So yeah, lets vote this sucker down so that we can get 5 hour min day, so those trips will pay 20 hours now..thats 2 extra hours for the few pairings like this...that will work out well for us...
And then they change the show to midnight....UGH....they got us, back to a 3 day at 15 hours..

And its convenient to say the union is being selective with their DFW trip examples, when others are using the 4 day 14:30 credit trips as their example, when its a 4 day by 20 minutes or so. Those "4 day" trips are shorter than many DFW 3 day trips...
But by all means, vote No if you think that its worth voting down for that. You have your vote
(This thing will still pass by a huuuuge bigly margin no matter how many rolls of tin foil some guys put on their head)

Like many others have said, this is a NO deal.
Why vote yes on this initial offer, even if it were acceptable?
Past experience shows that turning down the first offer, provides for gains in subsequent deals.
Especially:
Not in February. Terrible timing!
In max 3-4 months achieve improvements which will last 5-7 years!
Not when the company is rushing to sign.
Not when there is an AC order pending approval.
Not when the PBS LOA is not even drafted yet.
Not when we are giving away nearly all our QOL.
Saving a single scheduling provision, is worth 3 months.
By June management will be feeling the squeeze,
let's NOT gift them another relief![Frown](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
A NO vote is not a reflection on the effort of the NC, it's a vote to empower the NC with negotiating capital.
Did we learn anything from the LMS LOA ?

I based it off our current trips, just a guesstimate based on how most of our 4 days are worth 18hrs. I can’t say how it’ll be with the PBS. Unlikely that it could be worse than now. The company is not gonna get much use out of creating 63hrs TAFB 4 day trips. A big benefit of PBS is reduced manning. If all the 4 day trips went to less than 63hrs TAFB than you’re not really getting a whole lot of flying out of each pilot, kind of defeats the purpose of PBS.

Trying to understand something.
Is the main goal of PBS from the company to reduce number of pilots required?
If so is it better to have trips that reach guarantee in say 16 or 17 days or is it better for the company to have more efficient trips that have us reach guarantee in say 14 or 15 days.
I’m trying to understand if there are lots of 3 day low credit trips that doesn’t sound efficient or a way to reduce pilot payroll.

With pbs you might hit your min guarantee fast in less days but what stops the company from adding more flying on your schedule so now you only have 13 days off with 90+ hours of credit. That’s what I remember doing at the regionals.
