A lot of stockholders don’t actively participate - giving the BOD their proxies to vote their shares. I think the BOD is hoping enough stockholders will do that to drag the F9 deal over the finish line.

From Ted: “The board will advise stockholders whether it’s in favor of or against the JetBlue tender offer within 10 business days”.

Obviously if they’re still not in favor then they stick with original Jetblue bad deal statement. But if they decide to change their opinion now to being in favor, how then do they walk back their original statements? I’m thinking that was Halons question, I’m curious too

There's no way they'll accept the new JB offer. This is pure theater to give the impression they're doing their DD. They're not. They've already crafted their turning down this offer reiterating their previous BS position. This will go to the shareholders to decide. A good old fashion showdown.

I tend to agree with you. Jetblue offering more if BOD negotiates is a brilliant move, on JetBlues part. Now, if Spirit says “NO” it appears they are not keeping the best interest of shareholders in mind. But, if Spirit changes “YES” it appears that they were lying before and didn’t have the best interest of shareholders in mind when they rejected the first two JetBlue offers.

Either way it makes our BOD look quite bad.

Bing. O!

NK board is dug in. Why accept such a low offer from F9? So they can ride those executive positions into the sunset.

You know they’re going to say they think the offer is better than Frontier’s, but that they don’t believe it will pass the DOJ. Therefore they will recommend against it.

That way they say “See, see, see. We did our diligence!” And then they’ll vote to keep their cushy new positions etc.
