JetBlue purchase of Spirt

Shifting to blue planes I would lose 8% on a 50/50 split. Being that B6 will be retiring pilots at a rate of 4-5:1 for each NK retirement I make that up in a couple years. Nothing to cause sleep loss. I suspect that is true for most at NK. Let's focus on that JCBA.
More importantly- Do B6 planes have foot warmers? My tootsies get cold on long flights.

Sorry, no foot warmers except on the LR/XLR.

I don’t think that’s entirely true. The last two NEOs I’ve flown had foot warmers. At least, they had the switches. I didn’t use them. They were the 3NS (Mint NEO) planes. Mint 2.0 planes?

If we go straight relative, I lose nothing (obviously, this outcome won’t happen). If we go straight DOH, I’d lose more than 17% (another outcome that wouldn’t happen). Split the difference, I still lose more than 8%, a suboptimal outcome for someone who is currently projected to retire a narrow-body Captain at less than 1% relative seniority (not quite singe digit #, but very close).
It’s pointless to fret over it though, I control NOTHING when it comes to SLI. I’ll sweat over something I can somewhat control (the negotiations of a JCBA).

I am exactly the inverse of this. One of us will be unhappy. 😂

As long as the JCBA is a good one, I really doubt the SLI will hurt anyone much. That won’t mean there won’t be b’tching, b’itching about SLIs is a long established pilot pastime, but damn few are going to have any serious gripes.

People keep calculating like the seniority changes will be linear. They won’t be. The guys at the bottom are so junior they won’t be affected at all. The guys at the very top will STILL be at the very top - just of a larger group. The guys/gals who joined NK for the three year upgrade will take a hit, but last I looked there were still almost 200 FOs in NK senior to the junior NK CA. Even upgrade clearly isn’t that big a deal to everyone compared to QOL issues.

The NK/B6 combined list MCO situation will be a tsunami across the entire airline.

It’s a rare opportunity for the pilots to have such leverage - usually it’s management that wants to drag things out - but it certainly is something that the combined MECs can botch if it isn’t handled right.
