You guys still don't get it. We are the product. Low cost, small seats, dirty planes, no gate agents, low cost pilots. It's the design. They won't let you change it. They will fight us to the end of the world. What were you thinking when you came here? They are proud that they tricked us.

Because they were unable to force the company to give what we wanted before the amendable date? Since the impossible didn't happen, you blame the NC? really.... They don't have the "Jedi mind trick" on their side- there is a reason it's called "negotiations..." rather than Christmas....

Stay the course, remain cautiously optimistic, and apply a little reality to the process....
Agreed 100% I'm very disappointed our management didn't get it done prior to amendable since the gap is so small. However, there is zero reason to dump where we are and the progress that's been made. True, there probably won't be a TA prior to amendable...but that doesn't mean we couldn't have one before the end of the year.

JB? W t f are talking about? JB comparison? What ever happen to DL/AA/UA/AK ...so now we are happy settling for JB pay! After all the tough talk? After our new MEC dealing with the company "in good faith for nothing in return"

Can the NC because negotiations aren't going fast enough? Look at the papers from June 2010. That's what we are going to face here. These NC guys or for that matter any new NC guys have to put up with the same crop every time, The new MEC (that deals w/nk), a managment that refuses to see a professional group, and little boys and girls that call for their hanging when things don't go their way.

For what we are , we deserve exactly what we have.

Totally agree with this. Our productivity is above the JB level, we should be compensated like it. When we start saying, oh we'll settle for JetBlue pay rates, we're lowering our worth to the company. Again, Ive got nothing against JetBlue guys, to be honest, their pilots and ours are interchangeable, in fact every pilot is interchangeable. There is nothing that sets a JB pilot apart from a Spirit pilot from a Delta pilot from an Alaska pilot. What sets us apart is our productivity based on how the airline is run and how we respond to the business model that sets the basis for how we perform. Now the management that runs this business model that we're a part of needs to compensate the pilot group to continue extracting the performance required.

The only problem with the jetBblue/DL/AA/UA comparison for pay parity is that they have something else: PBS. They don't get monthly transition conflict, vacation conflict, they see all preassigned activity, and they don't have have min 4 days. These soft rules alone are above anyone else that has PBS. So you could have JetBlue minus 8 dollars but still come out ahead. Good luck though, hoping you get a great contract because that will only help the cause of JetBlue and Virgin. Going into negotiations it doesn't look good when a MEC recall and the MEC decision to suspend a couple sections the CBA just months before amendable date and negotiations. Good luck, and we're all counting on you Shirley.

I will not be granting relief again. Spirit pilots stepped up to the plate and management tossed a low ball.

Fountainhead Speech

If we take a moment and educate ourselves on the reality of the relationship between the players in this field, we may reconsider relieving any of those players(mgt) from the outcome of their incompetence (scheduling/gate/ops staffing/outsourcing), poor planning (no thought about contingencies) , and welfare minded reliance on other parties in our product(team players GIVE AWAY their skill/time/product, when mgt cries desperation from the position in which THEY put themselves). The link attached is to a good read addressing how we should approach negotiating the worth of our service, not from our position, but from MANAGMENT's...they have a need for our service...our negotiations should be a function of THAT NEED, not OUR WANT.

NKS shareholders, BB included, have reaped enormous gain from our labor...it is a function of that marketplace success/gain from which we should be discussing how much THEY NEED our skill. Throw in how we rescued them from their own misguided course deviations of the recent past, and our options as SKILLED AGENTS in the work place, and how we can go and be compensated appropriately for the skill, expertise, and hard work, elsewhere if the place shuts down as a function of THEIR POOR PERFORMANCE. I would feel ridden hard and put away, if I neglected my own home world, to pitch in and stave of Spirit's crash of this recent IROP, and then receive this slap in the face of this NC update.

Trip averaging, ****ty duty rigs, crappy retirement, and no short term disability to give one final kick in the nuts.

Ask me about my four days off.

Wow that really does sound like Bendo. Nice try saying all PBS are paid less than we are but using only JetBlue as the rate. Lets compare W-2 with delta American or united which all have PBS and you show me where spirit makes more money being just "8 dollars less"
