Wow. If your offended by that, then really--hole yourself up in a closet. These so called "bloggers" post excoriating reviews about having to pay for bottled water on an aircraft. Is it an entitlement? Of course, they are probably from the generation where everyone gets a trophy mentality. I fail to see any of these bloggers compalin about the cost of ammenities like bottled water at a sporting event. Try going to a NFL or NBA game and telling the concession stand "I paid good money for this ticket, I deserve a free bottle of water." I went to the Ryder Cup last year and paid well over that for a bottle of water.
I have seen some railing against Spirit, as an airline amongst my group of friends or on Facebook.
ALL ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE WARNING: most of the people that I come into contact with that complain about Spirit, extra charges, extra fees, haven't actually flown on Spirit! How crazy is that?
Spirit doesn't serve my local airport, so most people I know around where I live haven't flown on the airline, yet they'll say how much it sucks because they add in extra fees and charges and such.
That's just my experience, others may vary.

I agree except that Spirit sells bottled water not tap water so what exactly are you trying to say?

I cant tell if you are arguing the point by agreeing with the blogger, but..

We sell bottled water made by "Aquarius" (Coca-Cola brand)

For those that want a "cup" served in those plastic ones that soda are: I havent seen a FA charge for that yet--and I commute alot....

And did anyone try the new pita chips and hummus? Those were bad A$$, or maybe Im just sick of the spirit nuts and combos

What's even crazier is they will likely still book a flight on us. People like to complain, but, when asked to put their money where their mouth is, they choose Spirit over our higher priced competition.

Then, as soon as they land, they bad mouth us to their friends . . . and then book their next flight on us, because, yet again, we provide the same flight for less than the competition.

Spirit has a place in the market, and won't be the best solution for every passenger, but is usually the best solution for the price sensitive customer.

Which is usually the leisure traveller, which is exactly the traveller targeted.
It's a pretty brilliant business strategy, one that definitely has its place.

The hummus is the same brand and size that Delta offers in their Delta Lounges, FYI.

Maybe a little before your time, bored, but that is exactly how we ended up with ALPA in the first place. Delta was sniffing around for an LCC to compete with metrojet (before song) and nk pilots wanted some buyout protection.
