Several DFW based pilots made a huge effort to show up (some spending the night at hotels, one foregoing his vacation plans to attend, others flying in early and attempting to fly out after the vote, etc.). It was clearly a divided group LAS vs DFW. So much for unity! Then, R.P. and J.A. were nominated and so were A.B. and J.R. And C.B. and some LAS pilot for Secretary/Tresurer. Again, a vote seemingly very divided by base. LAS had the numbers advantage with the interim. Now DFW has the advantage in the permanent election. Next vote, for the March term will be electronic. No hiding behind Bylaws that help and ignoring those that do not. No stacking the deck against some and skewing the vote. 50% more pilots in DFW.
One word to remember boys....Karma.

Allowing a dual meeting would not have made it any more fair. In person vote will always leave out the majority of the pilots. I would like internet voting for every possible vote we do, too. But it might not be justified for 1 short interim position. Not by the by-laws anyway.
As far as the honesty part, you believe ALPA shut down your board, you created a persona on here just for this little campaign youall have been running on here. Your real agenda seems to be to get your people voted in, by trying to blackball the opposing candidates.

LOL! Captain Clueless. Allowing a dual meeting would have given a different result and that's the only reason it wasn't allowed.
I do agree with you that internet voting is the way to go. EVERYONE should have a chance to vote on elections that affect them. But everyone getting to vote seems to be a threat to the status quo and some folks do not want that.

You so arrogantly assume the whole DFW base supports your boys? Give me a break!

I guess we will never know. Not having two meetings was cowardly, now those that put that plan together own the 77. For awhile anyway.

I know this is off topic from the standard spew being shared these days, but I just read the latest that Spirit is now entering the CLE market.

Its interesting to me based on the fact that Frontier is in the works of getting established up there with the void left from United pulling out. All of the routes Spirit announced, MYR is the exception, are routes that Frontier either does or will do from CLE.

Is this going to be the start of a new head to head between the 2 airlines as Frontier morphs into the ULCC model?

I wouldn't say that. But I'll say that many, several, plenty of DFW-based pilots are not happy to not been afforded the minimum opportunity to vote. Setting the meeting up after bids were awarded really was a bad move. Then, not allowing a split meeting was even worst. I personally know of 3 pilots that could have made a meeting in DFW but not in LAS because they had to fly later in the evening on very early the next morning. They are mad and already declared to me their intentions for the next election.
We'll see the answer to your above question very soon as ALL members will be allowed to vote. R.P.'s interim will last until March. The permanent term until 2018. Read up on something called "Pyrrhic victory."

Can we have a serious "Merger/Acquisition Committee" please? I'll volunteer!

It's already been explained multiple times why all LEC meetings are scheduled after bids come out: ALPA trip drops are not authorized for LEC meetings. You and your group have trouble with the truth and facts apparently.
