Simply stated you are stupid to come to Spirit now, management is lying to you if you think it sounds good to be here, I only know 2 people that are staying EVERYONE else I know is actively seeking somewhere else to be. If you suck and can't get hired anywhere else then come on down.
Pay sucks, management proves they hate us at every turn- they make lots of money laying turds on us and have zero incentive to pay a nickel to anyone but themselves- there won't be a contact here within 24 months-if you think otherwise come here and bet your career on it!

What "phone call" are you referring to? I have not met a group of more ****ed off, non-compliant and militant pilots with complete contempt of "authority" than here at Spirit. This undisciplined group of industry derelicts that I work with makes me very proud.

you'll make less than any regional your first year here
you won't upgrade if they don't order more planes
constant contractual violations (scheduling disregards sections they want when it suits them)
if your flight is delayed, expect a call from a chief. If the delay is for any reason basically other than maintenance or the gate, expect to be disciplined.
you'll have to be an accountant every month to make sure you're paid correctly (hint its never in your favor)
you'll never be able to get any issue resolved correctly without having to escalate it to the highest level.
This is just a short list of the many realities of being a Spirit pilot. Now tell me again why anyone would come here?

No contract for years. Negotiations are at a stand still.

honestly, its still better than any regional airline. Come here, get your A320 type, and keep applying to the big leagues. Worst case scenario, you get stuck here. Better to be stuck here than at a regional that will most likely be out of business soon.
