Never a call for being late or whatever I've been late for. Only call was for a "Fatigue" refusal of a trip and all was asked is if I submitted a safety report.

Entering 99 in the CI field as opposed to 79/310 in the descent page saves me 4 keystrokes. May not seem like a lot, but extrapolate that over the course of an entire career.....

Except 99 brings you down at .80/340. Not even ORD wants you going that fast. Are you the one who then goes to selected and forgets speed is the first thing the plane goes for and you miss multiple crossing restrictions? Explains all the altitude bust ASAPs.

You could, but then it's going to assume you want to descend at 340. If you trust this thing to make restrictions going that fast, your balls are bigger than mine. Also, the original idea was that they can see the CI if they wanted. If you set what they want and select what you want, no problems.

Wait...you mean the Airbus cant descend on profile while slowing from 340 to 250 without asking for "more drag"..

Surely you are joking, the Airbus is a master of all things

No, I'm the guy who knows there are many ways of skinning the proverbial cat and changing the CI is one of them. Its a technique I learned from captains for whom I have a great deal of respect. I can't explain all of the reasons guys have altitude busts in the bus but I suspect some might be because they don't monitor the progress of their descents and make adjustments where necessary. Whats your excuse?
