Do yourself a favor and don't get the Spirit Airlines stink on your resume. It's just a low tier company. (Per Wall street) Home of the Bare Fare and Bare employment. You have a management team that believes in the "Win Lose" management style. That's really working out well for them now!!

In all honesty I wouldn't have come here if I had it to do over again. That has more to do with life happenings outside the job than it does with the job itself but in hindsight the price I paid to make the jump from a regional to Spirit was just too high.

I understand a lot of the people are not happy with the company, yet i'm still eager to join.

Any guidance or advice will be appreciated.

thanks
If you enjoy working for a clueless management team that treats its employees worse than it treats its customers, then this place is for you. I would say it's not better than your regional and if management gets their way, it will be worse than many regionals.
The best part is when someone asks who you fly for and you say Spirit, you see their nose crinkle up like someone just farted. Makes you real proud to work for this brand and knowing management despises you.

So true!! I finally got over that and my ego still in check! Some guys wont be complete unless they're flying something big for one of the legacies. Not saying anything wrong with that, just not necessary for me at this time in my life! However, I only view this as a job and try to avoid the discussion. But when it does come up...here's how it goes: "what do you do?", "I'm a pilot" , "oh cool, who do you fly for.....Delta?", "no, Spirit" (que sympathy face) "ohhhhh.....well that's probably just getting you the experience you need to get to Delta" or: "ohhhhhh I hate Spirit"........etc., etc.!

1400 tpic
3000 turbine time.
Currently flying the MD80 and have been a captain for the past 3 years.
I'll still reapply after 6 months if I don't hear anything from anyone else. It was a great interview experience!
