Those rates aren't even union negotiated contracts

The slope is way too steep the last several years. We need to be looking out for all the pilots, not just the 12+ year guys.

Because we won't be Spirit in 4-5 years and they will never have to pay those rates

Yes, I've heard something similar to that before, at two of the other carriers I was at where I was furloughed.

Pilots need to look at the contract how it will affect you during the duration of the contract, not at some future pay that may never happen.

Also we've hired a number of pilots who are older and won't be at the top of the scale for long, if ever. What do you say to them?

NO other carrier has a slope like ours. Not American, Delta, United, Southwest, JetBlue, or Virgin. Are we really smarter than everyone else by this type of pay scale? Or are we throwing the junior pilots under the bus?

Given that Baldanza is slated to make $6.2m this year in total comp, and Gary Kelly is only pulling down $5.0m this year. Southwest would seem to be a good comparison as well.

If they're Ben's peers. Then surely they're ours as well.

[QUOTE=otter1;2024274]I made a chart that comparing the DOS+4 proposal with JetBlue and Virgin:

Otter, does your chart show what the other guys are making 4years from now, or what they're already making? If it's the latter, can you make a chart that is a real "apples-to-apples" comparison, i.e., what everyone might be making 4 years down the road. (I realize you made need to extrapolate.)

Thanks!!

Just quickly looking through the seniority list, the company's proposal would only bring the top ~400 guys on the seniority list (those hired prior to 2011) to parity with current 2016 JetBlue rates at DOS + 4. The other ~900 pilots will be paid less than JetBlue 2016 rates for the entire duration.

You make a good point. I am only showing what the other carriers are CURRENTLY making, which would make the comparison that much worse. I don't have the data on what the other carriers will be making in 4 years.
