If they're Ben's peers. Then surely they're ours as well.
2014 saw Baldanza take in 6.1mil of total compensation. Bendoraitis had 1.7 mil in total compensation. Yet we are not worth a contract that even puts us anywhere near our "peers"

Ive done quite a bit of talking about waiting to see details before we made decision. The companies proposal was a steaming pile of sh*t and a complete insult to what this groups does for the operation on a daily basis. The list of inadequacies are countless. Here is a small and limited snapshot of the issues we face and know about in the term sheet:

1-rates that are top heavy and take 3-4 years to be where they should be.
2-a contract that will not be retroactive to August 1st. This decreases their costs and burdens us with a full year of DOS rates.
3-the company desiring to move the pay threshold to 190 seats so the NEOs will not be counted toward the override, thus reducing our pay
4-the gut job that is the transition
5-the paltry retirement offer. 1% for each year? FUPM

Clearly the company effort to collectively jack us off for 5 months was multi-beneficial. They got to see where our line in the sand was and they saved an untold amount of money by kicking the mediation can down the road. Can you blame them? We have an MEC chairman that gave them relief on a contract, answers phones in scheduling, encourages pilots to help out whenever needed and up until this week only seemed concerned to advise us of his upgrade training and our on time performance. There must be a shiny desk and an ergonomically correct chair waiting for Ackerman in Miramar after this is all said and done. He continues to show what a limp dick leader he is by his soft rhetoric.

Clearly we are at an impasse and this is going to go the long road. Can we all unify and stand up to these scumbags? Only time will tell. Im hopeful this group will leave them flat on their @ss the next time a meltdown hits. And the next time Jyri wants to solicit pilots to fly over a holiday by suggesting we may be celebrating the Festivus instead we should all collectively say F you. While Ackerman shares the lions share of the blame for setting up the weak, precedence setting actions that have emboldened these group of slime balls to get to this point, we have no choice but to follow the contract to an absolute T and stop doing them any favors. Will there be enough prostitutes to go cover these open trips they will inevitably have? I hope not..but we all know what happened the last time this happened.

Look at it from the BOD's point of view. Baldanza and Bendoritis have us working for regional wages so they've proven that they are doing their job. Just sayin.......

"limp dick" ditto, but let's be fair Ralph. The "focused" BS was in place well before "limp dick" took over. "Weakness" has been in power ever since Poletti turned company man after one too many trips to anger management class.

Let me help out with one more thing on "limp dick" the "Quid'er". Breakfast with Bendo. I wonder who pays?

This mess has been brewing for a while but they got the man for the job when JA rose to power. Remember all the talk of the quid? Remember how it eventually became the company would sweeten the pot in the contract for us? Thankfully, only a few actually believed this clown.

Say what you want about Poletti or anyone else, but never in the history of this airline have we been guided by an MEC chairman that is so eager to help the company out that we have given them contractual relief and had pilots working for free in scheduling to "help out"

The worst part is the Company really wanted this to go out to a vote, thinking we'd ratify this. They must feel we have very little self respect or self-worth if they believe we'd vote this in.

Does not include PS, retirement, disability, etc.

They are planning on doubling the fleet while almost tripling ASM in the next 5 years with larger seating capacity. That is a lot of people to be responsible for at a deep deep discount.

Our NC should be able to show exactly how much transition costs the company each month. An actual dollar amount. Subtract that figure from industry leading (or average depending on how you view it) A320 pay, retirement, etc and slide it across the table.
We shoulda seen it coming. With all of the expectation management going on at PUB events. Good post!

Absolutely, agreed 100%!

At least Poletti went soft AFTER we kicked their butts for five days.
