Spirit of NKS, Part II

Not sure if you're asking or telling, but wasn't there recently an important vote taken at a 77 meeting in LAS where you had to be present to vote, and said LEC reps refused to hold a parallel meeting in DFW for those unable to attend? Sounds like a representation issue to me.

The largest turnouts for LEC meetings has been FLL and DFW for whatever that's worth.

Asking. Do you recall what the vote was for? If no one is showing up to the meetings it doesn't matter where they are held. 1 person showed up to the last meeting in ORD and only 3 or 4 showed up to the LEC 77 meeting. For me the issue is a cost benefit analysis, if there isn't a reason to spend the money, we shouldn't. Turnout to LEC meetings are terrible at almost all carriers by the way.
I believe they were filling an interim vacancy, but don't quote me.
The way I see it, we are going to feed the ALPA Leviathan the same 2% either way. We will NEVER see a SMRA refund again, so may as well spend it. More reps makes it harder to corrupt, or at least makes it harder for enough mec members to agree on the type and extent of the corruption. More reps means less work / rep = a greater chance of getting a call back.

Our new Chair and CEO come from the same school of "ahhh don't worry about the troops"
Whatever happened to the "hey how ya doin"email from leadership as a immediate agenda item?
