Under 20% seniority there isn't much of a difference if any. Above 20% can see more days off because the 737 Caribbean day trips that go to the top 20% are more productive. Yes, the 321 will show up one day and the bus will also be a growth fleet, but those trips will go senior. If you can't get EWR 737 out of BI just bid any 737 and you will get EWR in the next vacancy.

That's a big assumption on the 321. I could see the back side of the clock, min credit 3-days getting old really quick. For Dafuq, the main difference isn't between the bid awards on the two fleets in terms of scheduling, it's what happens afterwards. Bigger fleet means more open time, which means more flexibility in moving your schedule around. Trades are still subject to seniority, but there is just more parts to be able to piece together.

Thank you guys and gals for the information.

I am an old timer that is tired of BS at my current company Avelo. Are most of the new hires in their 20s or is there room for old farts like me?

I did the interview and looking forward to joining.

I just got the CJO and I'm sneaking up on 50. My interview group was mostly 30-somethings, with a few of us on the older side.

Dude, bring it. My Indoc was a few years ago but we had a retired AF senior officer who was 59, just wanted to give the airlines a try. Absolutely great guy.

56 here. Start at the end of the month. Our class is filled with birth years ranging from 1966 to 1997. I'm one of at least 2 retired Air Traffic Controllers in the bunch. Looking forward to the adventure!
