4 internal?

I had 4 when I went to the job fair but then stupidly deleted one and trying to get it replaced but my friend hasn’t sent the new copy, is that a reason why I may not have heard anything?

TripleSpool 11-19-2018 12:24 PM

All quiet on the front for me.

Since it’s the holiday week I can see it being quiet.

PittsDriver 11-20-2018 11:02 AM

I got the be patient email, we are going to send you the hogan email and the hogan test within a 3 hour period on Saturday. Took the Hogan that day and got an interview invite today.

deltajuliet 11-20-2018 12:36 PM

As far as internals, real bummer if you don’t know anybody. Getting hired feels more like a function of geography.

How so? I lived in a non United hub and was commuting to a non United domicile doing non United flying and managed 11 internals over the years. A lot of them came from keeping in touch with pilots I had flown with that went on to UAL/CAL and then the random acts of networking along the way lead to a few more. I never asked anyone that I didn’t have a friendship with for a letter of rec as well. I wouldn’t allow myself to ask strangers for letters of rec.

Oddly enough having flown in the US Airways and Delta systems for better part of 9 years I think I only had one or two letters of rec to those airlines. So it goes to show, geography can be a factor but not something that can’t be overcome.

Curious what date you get? Mines on the 12th so far though I've been hearing people filling earlier ones than originally scheduled as well.

The only date it even gave me an option for was 12/19. Nothing else showed up for Dec or Jan.

Max300 11-27-2018 09:31 AM

Invite by...

Halloween, nope.
Thanksgiving, nope.
Christmas....?

This thread has gotten very quite.

blizzue 11-27-2018 12:36 PM

Yes, quite quiet.

Max300 11-27-2018 03:12 PM

Yes, quiet.

😁

Darn AutoCorrect maybe that’s why I haven’t gotten called yet. Needed better grammar as a kid.

Falcondrivr 11-27-2018 05:25 PM

Come on people. They said we were going to fill the pipe “through Q1 2019.” That’s 4 more months. Keep updating and stay positive.

DJIA 11-30-2018 08:32 AM

So what class dates are they filling now from candidates that attended the job fair?

Rostov 11-30-2018 04:14 PM

I got a buddy that interviewed on the 27th of November that should find out by next week. However last few interview groups have been getting class dates within 4-5 weeks of CJO from what I've seen.

isuguy 12-02-2018 07:00 AM

For folks that have received interview invites, how far from you actual availability date have you been contacted? I'm sure there's a fair amount of "available immediately," but wondering about folks that had it set at a future time. Thanks.

Squallrider 12-02-2018 07:20 AM

I still haven’t even gotten the be patient email 🤣

1 December Availability - Received Hogan end of November/Interview Mid Dec. However I also have a squadron mate who already has a CJO and he is 10+ months out from his availability but he's a rarity as far as I can tell.

Jefferson 12-06-2018 03:04 PM

CJO yesterday (12/5)...a week after the interview... told to anticipate a Feb class date.

Squallrider 12-06-2018 03:37 PM

Given up hope on even a be patient email at this point

DJIA 12-06-2018 03:53 PM

Same here

For those who received notification to continue the process following the Hogan, how were you contacted- email or phone call?

Sike 12-10-2018 07:39 PM

Has anyone who didn't attend the job fair received a Hogan invite recently? If not, is there any consensus as to when United will start looking at applicants who didn't attend the job fair again?

I believe they plan to have another fair/expo here shortly. I seem to remember a date being floated around but can't rightly remember. My squadron mate that was called for interview and got CJO was initially invited to fair, then told rather to show for interview. So it looks like the real strong applicants are possibly bypassing fair.

That's great to hear, thanks!

Also do retired pilots LORS carry any weight?

Just retired from there, any more than 5 LORs is excessive in HR's view. Yes LORs from a retired pilot carry weight.

Best of luck!

United Expo attendee, PM group on the 19th.
Hogan 10/15
Interview invite 10/23.
Interview 12/05.
CJO 12/12.
Told to expect Feb-Mar class.
App in and updated since 2013.

Keep the faith they are still interviewing expo attendees, good luck!

Jefferson 12-12-2018 04:10 PM

It appears that Mid Nov interviews are filling the Jan 8 class.

Congrats!,

One of the individuals in my interview group of 4 did not attend the expo the rest I talked to all did for whatever that is worth.

Charlie1Seven 12-13-2018 10:52 AM

Squallrider 12-13-2018 12:29 PM

Anyone that attended get the hogan lately?

DJIA 12-17-2018 05:34 AM

Got the “expect to hear soon email” followed by the Hogan last week. Looks like they are still trickling out. Attended the Sept civilian day.

That's great news, congrats! Just of curiosity, are you 40 or older? Has any civilian pilot from that group age been called?

UNK7 12-17-2018 10:43 AM

Great to hear! Maybe they are saving up a status update as a Christmas gift. Wouldn't that be great! Just an update for everyone on the list. I know, sentimental nonsense, but it would be amazing! Happy Holidays to all!

Rostov 12-19-2018 04:43 PM

Dec 12 Interview
Dec 19 CJO!

Crazy excited to be joining the United Team! Glad there is still movement on the Expo attendees, keep updating and make sure before your Hogan / Interview your app is clean and every thing fully disclosed! Was told by HR Captain that is a kiss of death concerning inconsistencies with tickets/dui's/checkride busts etc. Otherwise all the trip reports spot on, I felt extremely welcomed and they try their best to put you at ease. (Of course it doesn't work at least with me I was pinging on my nerves!)

turbofan0507 12-20-2018 04:32 PM

Interview on the 12th as well and CJO received on the 20th. Attended the Civilian expo. Told to expect February or March class date. Part 121, LCKA, check ride failure, speeding tickets but all disclosed! Good luck! Great experience!

Sep mil expo attendee

Anymore expo attendees getting be patient emails or Hogan invites yet... still waiting...

nickbvt82 12-31-2018 01:50 AM

I just heard Scott Rehn ( aerocrew solutions presenter at the expo) that united told him
hogan invites will be going out through January 2019... so there is hope for us that are still patiently waiting!

Squallrider 12-31-2018 05:26 AM

At one point they said first quarter 2019 for September fair participants but who knows
