Do we know if they are metering based on app you had on file for the job fair or would they have looked at updated apps since the event?

I interviewed a few weeks ago. Not sure how they are looking at apps but only about half the interview group had attended the military or civilian event so it appears they are still working on other apps besides who attended the meet & greet.

Crazy excited to be joining the United Team! Glad there is still movement on the Expo attendees, keep updating and make sure before your Hogan / Interview your app is clean and every thing fully disclosed! Was told by HR Captain that is a kiss of death concerning inconsistencies with tickets/dui's/checkride busts etc. Otherwise all the trip reports spot on, I felt extremely welcomed and they try their best to put you at ease. (Of course it doesn't work at least with me I was pinging on my nerves!)

I interviewed on December 11th after attending the Civilian September Job Fair and received the CJO on the 19th as well. Part 121, LCKA, tons of PIC time. Majority of the people from my company that attended the Job Fair, are yet to get the Be Patient email. I was told to expect a Feb/March class date, but no word yet.

planesandhockey 01-08-2019 07:58 AM

Anyone that went to the September M&G and had an interview in December received a class date yet?

I received a "be patient" email last week. I'm so excited!

Good luck to all.

Fourpaw 01-15-2019 07:29 AM

*Bump* for those of us still with hopes left!

CJO Call

Those who have gotten a call for a CJO- I’m in the air on most days, so I’m assuming if you miss their call they leave a voicemail? Or do they send an email as well?

Squallrider 01-16-2019 05:11 AM

2 weeks of January to go ;) lol

Falcondrivr 01-16-2019 04:26 PM

Keep updating people. Good news is trickling out.😉

BigFNjetdriver 01-16-2019 09:47 PM

Class dates?

Anybody with December CJOs get dates yet?

Edpilot23 01-17-2019 03:39 AM

Dec. 12th CJO, Feb. 12th class, I think it’s safe to count 60 days between CJO and class date.

Crickets....

Not sure how many from the Sept. job expo had received a call by now but just based on the level of activity on this msg. board, which is not whole, I'd make the assumption that those who haven't received the Hogan by now may not receive it at all.

Sorry for sounding a bit defeatist but I rememberer our group being told that we were the 'top applicants' yet I see several people (all very qualified and deserving) get called without having attended a single job fair. It's probably my fault. I might've either misinterpreted the intended message at the job expo or maybe I didn't leave a good enough impression (though I can't recall saying anything negative) as I was exuberant in simply being there.

Hope we see some more Hogans soon because this is very trying for many of us.

It is indeed a painful waiting period for us all! To me, the most frustrating part is the lack of communication. It would feel so good to receive a single paragraph stating whether we still hold a chance to get the call or not. I never thought the awesome feeling of been part of an elite group (Hiring Expo attendee) would aggravate the long waiting period. Four months may not sound a lot, but man, checking the email everyday in hope of a shot is painful! Just a thought from someone who really wants to join this awesome airline.

Yea I’m not sure what happened, I had a great conversation with the recruiter for more than our slotted time even...I left with a good impression.

At the job fair on Wednesday Susan said we were the interview pool through Q1 2019. That covers up until the end of March. I kept updating my times, as well as doing anything else I could to increase my score. I got another internal rec, and cleaned up my app (again.) in other words, I kept showing them that I was chasing the job. I got the hogan a coupe weeks ago. YMMV

I concur. I remember them saying first quarter 2019. I believe it was Aerocrew that came and posted here January. Either way, keeping the app updated and waiting patiently.

I think I heard of another event taking place this year.

nickbvt82 03-06-2019 03:04 PM

Just got the hogan 1.5 hours ago!

And to confirm, you were in fact apart of the Sept job expo?

ConfirmActivate 03-07-2019 01:30 PM

Wow, congrats you guys! That must've been a brutal wait. Hope you all end up with an interview.

nickbvt82 03-07-2019 11:35 PM

I was a sep 20 expo guy.
Took the hogan and got an invite 2 hours later. 13 or 19 March!

speedbrakearmed 03-07-2019 11:37 PM

How many LOR's did you have by chance? Anyone willing to PM would be great, have a couple of questions.

Congrats! Given the quietness of this forum, I had lost hope and assumed we were done! Man, what a brutal wait! Wouldn't it be nice to have a periodic update, whether positive or negative, to the selected group of attendees? Of course, considering the efforts (mental and financial) we all put into preparing and attending the event in Denver? Just a thought.

I agree but if we didn’t make the cut, they wouldn’t want to say so because you may be a candidate at a later date...at least that’s my guess

Hmm we’re they maybe waiting for your availability date? That might be why you’re a straggler

Squallrider 03-12-2019 07:43 AM

Curious what everyone’s thoughts are that didn’t get a invite...does this mean we aren’t the right fit for united and unlikely to get a call in the future?

Ni hao 03-12-2019 08:35 AM

Talking to a interview team this past week at the training center. They said 5000 need to be hired in next 6.5 years. Keep trying!
