Absolutely voting no. This entire scheme of a carve out stinks. No one should be getting paid for seats they can no longer hold. If you’re bumped to a lesser paying seat, so be it, me included. This reminds of participation trophies my kid got in little league when his team sucked.

Buying votes, plain and simple.

Finding a job with about 10,000 pilots on the street and a furlough stink on you isn't easy, keeping you on the list for a potential merger, serious worry if United can ever recover from a 3000 pilot furlough, and keeping LTD insurance... there are positives. This hasn't even been put into its final language and people know all they need to know. The conspiracy theorist guys who aren't happy with anything are unsurprisingly making this a conspiracy theory and are unhappy. Got it. The people that don't like the MEC still don't like the MEC. Not unexpected. How about we read it before we start rioting over carve outs or snap backs that may or may not exist.

There will always be something that we want or fear that can be used to squeeze us. This time it's furloughs.

YES getting furloughed sucks! Been there, done that.

The contract is sacrosanct, or at least should be. When I was a jr maggot I took the job KNOWING I WAS CHAFF. Stuff happens in this industry. Once per decade. And suddenly you're an old guy and find out that you have toiled for 20-30 years under one concessionary contract or crisis after another. Best of luck young timers, your career earnings will be decimated by this.
If only the young padwans would listen to the wise, old master. But no, they’re going to have to learn it all on their own.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

It’s now a rush job to get this done prior to October 1 before the first furloughs hit the street.

SK and Team knew how to play this. Guess he gets the Black/White Chips.
We get energy bars.. though some will only get 50% of them! (too Soon?)

At this point, not matter how we vote, he wins.
If it gets voted down.. he gets to claim it was our fault, and we are divided.
If it gets voted in.. he gets to claim he helped save jobs! (and lower pilot labor costs for years!)
Oh, and we are divided.

Always

Not to mention that all of the “Gets” were probably already negotiated prior to the Covid crisis.

What will the “Gives” be? Scope and the 1000 report on the first day of reserve!

You can thank council 11 (IAD), 12 (ORD), 57 (LAX), for leaking crap out because they’ve viewed mitigation as CONCESSIONS. Now they wanted to stir the pot by having senior fools negotiating in public, going against your very own model. Shut the H*LL up and write to your LEC if you need to complain. Everyone gets a vote and the majority will decide, the worse thing you can do is telling a bunch of TYPE A mentalities what’s better for them, it will be a private decision wether you like it or not so deal with it. I’m OUT, peace.

Default It's a B-Scale...and a C-Scale...for how long

Can't call this "tiered" LPV scheme anything other than what it is: a B-scale and a C-scale, which the United pilots fought so hard to eliminate since 1985.

And the "snapback" language or reversion criteria? You don't need to wait to read the language, as the language won't be worth more than the paper that it's written on. Never is. We have NEVER had bulletproof protection clauses, as the company ALWAYS finds a way around them. Don't we ever learn? So get used to these three-tiered pay schemes to be around for a long, long time. So long that they will make you PAY to get rid of them.
