Now, if it is a high quality PPO plan, now we're talking.

Now that I've gotten more information on Monkeypox, I'm concerned about its impact on airline travel. Time to get those smallpox vaccinations.
Everyone who's read your posts knows how you'll vote and how you'll be vocal after the TA's made public. Nothing outside of section 3 has been leaked, yet you're essentially stating that this is all about section 3. How much do you pay a month in medical insurance? If the new contract has no cost medical insurance, how much is that worth to you?

This AIP better be a good slice of pie no matter how you slice out the pieces. If we lag behind inflation for years it’s simply a no vote for me. We saved this company a future by signing the pandemic LOA. Can you imagine where we would be if the gov bailouts never came and they were dusting off 4-7000 pilots to meet demand? Time to pay up with this contract.

I realize we’re talking about rumors. But leaks being what they are could have some validity.
So, for anyone that’s seen the compensation piece, can you expand on the raises?
It sounds like a 15% raise phased in over 3 years, although some are framing it as a 20% raise. Where is that 20% number coming from?
Again, I haven’t seen any of the leaks.

You were correct that if you have tricare then the regular plan is fantastic!
Two other gotchas with the plan. Company life insurance is very limited. However our company life insurance sucks unless you get hit by a bus on the other plans. Also dental. You can’t upgrade to the higher plan. Only difference in that is $1500 for braces vs $1000. But again reg plan has zero monthly premium vs choice plus at over $400 per month.

If it’s that good of a deal it should stand on its own merits without requiring lipstick and a used car sales job. I guess we’ll see.

The scope AIP is outside of section 6…been in the works since 2019 before we even started negotiations…about the only thing we could work out without the mediator.
Weekly update says we have 20 of 29 sections closed but the the three biggies (scope, pay, scheduling) are still open and needs lots of work.

Notice my qualifier of “if”. From what I’ve been told before the AIP was announced was not to be expecting too much. Hopefully that’s bad information. I wonder what the deductible and coverage will be for the generous “no cost” insurance?

Good question. I've heard from LEC and P2P members over the last few years that this is a QOL & work rule focused negotiation. Section 3 compensation would be a 'base hit' vs home run. Also a focus on transferring money from UAL to us 'efficiently' (low/no tax). A lot of that is paraphrased so don't read too much into the language I used.
