You gotta have a buddy put his (and YOUR) name on the list with the CP's secretary. When the slots open up, the CP's secretary will call your buddy about the date/time slot.
Unless something has changed, your buddy only gets ONE. So make sure he hasn't done a M$G with another buddy.

Thanks! Well I was a United Intern back in 2000, that may have helped. Resumes= 7200 hours, most of it 121 regional time with 2200 hours 121 captain time (cl65) and about 400 hours 121 (cl65) check airman time. Not exactly sure what got me the interview tho. Been away from 121 for 6.5 years now. Currently furloughed from NetJets and flying air ambulance for the past 4 years. I am very happy to get the opportunity! Wish I could be more helpful.

Good Hiring News for United!
Senior V.P. of Flight Operations on August 15th says: "Based on revised training plans and forecasts from Manpower Planning, we currently expect a need for almost 1,300 new hire/leave return/furlough recall pilots through April 2016. This is being driven by age-65 retirements, as well as aircraft block hour increases on several of our fleet types. This revised and very robust training plan will deplete our new hire pool by the end of September, so we will resume new hire interviews next week and will continue interviews indefinitely." Hogan test? huh? good thing as a new hire in 2008 and a furlough return I did not have this....never would have passed. I'm a "hoodlum...(pilot)...with a filthy mouth, and a BAD attitude". --The Penguin (from the Blues Brothers)
Every captain unfortunate enough to fly with me knows this.... :-)
