Interview Calls & Hiring Predictions

This. I got the impression that solid presentation of your flying history is a big thing.
Oh, and military pilots: Don't forget your FEF or whatever the non-AF branches call your evaluation folder/checkride history. I brought the last five years of OPRs (FitReps?) as well, but nobody looked at them from what I could tell.

Does anyone know if there is any attempt to assign chronology to the meet and greet group? In other words, does a year-old CP recommendation have more weight than someone who goes in this week? I know the M&G is not a magic bullet, and those with more competitive resumes will have priority over those who may have longer-standing recommendations, I'm just wondering if the timeline is a consideration when they look at these.

Agreed they didn't take any of that stuff, but every week there are new interviewers, so you can't be sure the folks conducting interviews will do the same as the previous weeks. It seems to me it'd be better to have that stuff and not need it than the other way around. It's so easy to get it ahead of time.
If you're gonna spend hours working on the best way to show your flight hours (logbooks, Excel spreadsheets, etc), then why not take the 5 min required to print this stuff off or photocopy it? Sometimes just volunteering that you have it if they'd like to see it gives enough of a "warm fuzzy" to the interviewer that they don't bother to look at it.
Again, I agree they didn't ask for it ahead of time, and they didn't need to see mine during the interview, but I think it sends a message to at least be prepared. Average pilots like me need whatever advantage we can get.

Anybody from the old "short list" getting calls? It seems like the spring time meet-and-greets are represented pretty heavily on this board, I'm wondering if the short (sequential) list from last fall/winter (CV era) got flushed and now they've gone to a more Delta style: highly desirable pool with interviews going to the highest points within the pool.

I don't think so, but I wish it did. I met her at WAI last spring and thought it went really well. I think a M&G has to be arranged by a line pilot who knows and likes you, and has a good enough relationship with their Chief Pilot to make it happen. I am trying to get one in IAH, if I can ever get my schedule worked out. Good luck.
