I did sim prep with FTI in Denver last week, the day before my interview. It was great! My instructor was Richard Adams - he was fantastic. Because I have never flown anything as big as a 737, I can't imagine having done the interview without it...priceless.

I also did my some prep with FTI last week. It was certainly worth every penny. I am currently flying the ERJ and the 737 was completely different to me. I can't imagine going in and doing it without the prep. Highly recommend the investment!!

Congratulations to all who are preparing for the interview. If you haven't already, would you mind sharing your qualifications for those of us whose résumés are still in the stack? Thanks.

Now I am confused. A buddy of mine said they were going to drop the Sim evaluation. Is this true and just hasn't happened?

Lear - I haven't heard anything to that effect. All I can say is that they were doing them last week.

Hummingbear - I interviewed last week and got the job offer today (~Oct 7th class). I am around 2300TT (mostly military jets - PIC, turbine). CFI/CFII. A couple of internal LORs and one CP LOR. I applied July 2013, got the CP LOR in May, interview invite mid-July 2014. My original date of availability was 1 June 2013. Hope this helps.

No the sim evaluation will stay. It was debated and then decided to keep it since we have the old device. Personally I wish we would not do it and focus on a scenario and interview panel.

But then what would I do with all my free time?

It's one of the old full flight sims @TK, a 737-500 with EFIS. There are a few of them, used for contract training and interviews.
