Be yourself, but also do the interview and sim prep, worth every penny.

Like captain822 said, the sim and interview prep are worth every penny. I used FTI for the sim prep and Cage Consulting for the interview prep. Class 12/09/14. Relax, be truthful and follow the directions that they send you in the email for completing the paperwork. Good luck.

Hello all! I'm new new to the forum but have been lurking for a while.

I have an upcoming interview, and I think I should have went further back with my driving history. I had a series of speeding tickets when I was in college. Nothing too serious, but they happened in a short time period (bad luck I guess). That was 20+ years ago and I haven't had a single one since. I figured those were off my record by now, but reading through this thread says maybe not. Will they pull speeding tickets from 20+ years ago? I don't even know where to look for the details. I guess I thought they only went back 10 years for the purpose of the app.

Also, does it look bad if I add stuff like this to my app after an invitation for interview has been given? It was an honest oversight.

Thanks for the help

Add them in there with just 1/1/year it happened or the month if you know that. I had a couple like that where I didn't know the date, just the year. I had nothing in prior to getting the hogan and interview invite, was told by people in the know that I should add them in.

They print your application straight from airline apps a few days prior to your interview, and you check it over for accuracy. Nothing was even mentioned about them during the interview.

I'm not sure if driving records are found that far back, but if you put them on a PRIA application or something like that...then they can see them there, doesn't have to just be from the DMV, previous employers may have that info you gave to them.

My advice, add them in now. If you are clean for that long, it shouldn't even be brought up in the interview.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was able to pull my history online from 3 states and 22 years ago. Looks like a had 4 in a 2 year span then no more. How many days prior to interview do they typically print the app?

My app was printed 2 days prior. Printed on Monday, for my interview on Wednesday afternoon. If you are scheduled to interview, just update your app, be ready to discuss your "youthful indescressions" and how it has made you a better parent/person/mentor for the last 20 years... Own the negatives, smile and dwell on the positive, then move on. I have some similar history, it was a total non-issue, don't make it one.
