You can get angry and call names all you want, it won't change that reality. Talkturkey and others use language and attacks when they can't handle others getting the truth. You have chosen to associate with that behavior. I will help new hires make the best informed decision they can.
Fact is Skywest has a lot of 50 seat aircraft and those 50 seat aircraft won't be sticking around for nearly as long as new hires are being led to believe. You can lie to them, or you can give them the truth of what this industry is going through.

You are no better than the rest that want to hide to truth from prospective new hires. I am going to give them the realities of the regional industry, while you and others get angry when that reality is put out in front, because you are afraid it hurts your airline's staffing ability.

But you're referring to possibilities as "facts", and then you label yourself as some lone crusader of truth amongst a sea of self motivated deceivers. You are just a pilot pawn like the rest of us in this airline chess game. You don't "know" facts about private meetings and deals taking place right now for future aircraft RFPs. You gotta wait for announcements like the rest.

While it's great to be honest with people getting into the industry, "truth" is relative. Some people are overly opportunistic, some pessimistic. Your truth about SkyWest 200s isn't factual, nor is your truth about PSA losing aircraft. Important things to consider for a new hire going there? Sure.

To tell prospective new hires to wait for management to announce something that will hurt their careers is terrible advice. You should be advising prospective new hires of the reality of the regional situation so they can make an informed decision and not be shocked when it happens.
I don't need to wait for announcements to know they will happen. Just read between the lines and you can make a very good determination about what is happening.

I don't doubt the 50 seaters will get parked one day. I just am not all doom and gloom about it!
I also don't go out of my way to burst everyone else's bubble so I can feel better about myself!

If you guys want to talk about Skywest's 50 seaters, go to the Skywest thread. This is a Compass thread. Keep it on topic, please.

Do you understand what Mainline Scope and the ATP minimums coupled with low regional compensation is doing to the regional model right now?

Healthcare starts 30 days from the first of the following month. I.E. I started mar. 19th. April I didn't have it, but may 1st health insurance kicked in. For a healthy single guy, insurance is pretty good and cheap. For a family I think it is very overpriced. Hope this helps.
