The 9E guys made fun of this concern until I pointed out that at least a third of the flow downs would be their pilots who had flowed up. They agreed, better to be represented by the Delta MEC IAW with the Delta PWA if you are a Delta pilot.

My wife's PTA has stronger contract language for a spirit night at the snowcone place.

Why do you care if the flow down will not affect you?

IF we are forced via arbitration to accept a flow down, I would like to see protections in any flow down language. like if you are off probation at DL you are not on probation at 9E, If you are still on probation, any time spent at DL or while flowed down counts towards probation clock at both companies, any disciplinary actions incurred while flowed down will have no bearing on your ability to be recalled by DAL. I think some of these are built into LOA 9. But there is a limit as to what DALPA can do for us while we are not working for DAL.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're on property at EDV, then you'll be subject to the EDV JCBA. Don't like it? Don't take the job. As to whether you're on probation or not, I don't really care that much, so knock yourselves out figuring out how that's going to work...

All delta has to do is change the name of the airline Endeavor to Compass and bam! They're
good to go! I think I’m management material

probation portion i described is already covered in LOA 9, only change to get to what I described would be the recall protection if facing disciplinary actions at 9E (which I don’t think would be necessary given how our recall section of the PWA is governed)

Maybe they should be used as a benchmark considering they have the highest pay rates and best retirement.

Yeah the best retirement they’ll probably never be able to use. I heard most those haulers don’t make it past age 70.

You “heard” that? I did too, must be true then! Holy carp, all the dumb pilots getting hired by them, newly retired. What are they thinking?

Yeah? before COVID I flew with a guy who was just hired on by FedEx. They told him that, in the interview.

Maybe most guys just don’t care? He didn’t seem to give 2 $hits.
