I agree with you on your last point, I’m all for improved career progression for DCI pilots, but not at the expense of SCOPE.

on a separate note, any idea how this will work? Will 9E pilots with double no’s and/or no degree be able to flow? Will they be able to apply outside the flow? Genuinely curious if anyone at EDV has details on this.

edited for clarity
9E pilots will flow in seniority order with no exceptions besides currently being a captain. Pilots will still be able to apply outside of the flow. The flow and contract extension are void if LOA9 is changed to not allow the 35 RJs through negotiations or arbitration

So 9E pilots colluding with management in an effort for them to bypass our scope.

9E’s pilot response: “Take it to arbitration, if you lose—too bad.”

Along with taking concessions.

I have to hand it to DL management. They found a way to bait 9E with concessions for what they’ve always wanted, flow. At the same time found a loophole around scope. As I previously stated, DALPA better respond to this appropriately.

I don't think there was any collision between 9E pilots and Delta. Based on the fact that "negotiations" lasted less than a week it seems like 9E was basically had a deal put in front of them and probably told if you say no we'll just go to skywest or republic and you get nothing

It is funny that some people view being the PM for the rest of the trip as "punishment." LOL, I'll be the PM the rest of my career, it all pays the same. I do fun flying when I'm not at work. As long as it's not going to put us in the bad gas state or damage the aircraft, second guessing how others fly may be best left for beer talk on the overnight.

Right...none of this makes sense to me. For a flow agreement, they get 35 more RJs....how is that a good deal for us?

what svfr said... We had been in negotiations for years and were supposed to get a deal last year before covid struck. Looks like DL found a way to kill two birds with one stone and threw this at us. Our mec has a responsibility to see it through, and were very clear in their email that the Dalpa position may undo it. Which is why we have an out built in if loa 9 doesn't get fixed. Though since none of us have actually seen the language yet let's wait and see

Endeavor isn’t getting more CRJs. DAL will have to buy more E175s for RAH, then put 6 seats in some of Skywests E175sc’s.

So the first several hundred flows will all be the senior and bitter captains that got the TBNT from delta years ago? Oh to be a fly on the wall during those new hire classes...

You'll have to talk on the RADIO and I won't even say your name in the welcome aboard announcement. That'll teach you to fly within Vol 1/FCTM/ABCDF but not to my liking! Now bow before Sky God!
