Hello, sorry for the random post on here just did not want to make a whole new thread. Wondering if anyone can give some guidance.
I had applied to DL a while back on airline apps and then they switched over to their new system. I started to create a profile in APR of 25, got caught up in life and never fully completed it. Now wanting to throw in an app again and when I log in still shows job opening of APR 25 ( APPLICATION SUBMITTED)
Not sure if its just mine but the new app system keeps submitting my app or updating after I enter every single section. Should it not let me enter it all and then hit submit? Im wondering if I should at this point just start a new app with a new email adress to make it cleaner?
Any advice?

I say go 320, and just be junior.
Congrats, you'll get all the 3+ leg days on the 319/320 that stay within 2.5 hours of ATL. It's the 717 higher pay, upward mobility because it's a growing fleet and creature comforts. Just bid to avoid the 321/NEO and you'll be happier than a pig in ****.

Would you recommend it overall to a new hire commuter? How has the reserve utilization been for long call?

I have a buddy who got hired over 2 years ago and still gets forced on reserve on NYC 7ERB. Lots of short calls. Not a ton of utilization. Doesn't make much difference if you're a commuter, you'll be sitting 4-6 short calls every month you can't hold a line.

Expect the plurality of the 2/3 indoc class to get awarded DTW 320 and ATL 73, in that order. Sorry if I'm getting repetitive, but if you really want ATL, SLC or LAX and really want the 320 (like coming from NK or F9), it is very likely you will be able to bid to change bases from DTW or NYC 320 very quickly. The last AE saw successful base transfers to the very bottom of the list to both ATL and SLC, for example. Very similarly, on the 73N, there were base transfers to the very bottom of the list to MSP, ATL, DTW, SEA, and SLC. So don't be afraid to put equipment above base if you really want one airframe over the other. As always, no guarantees/YMMV, etc.

Seen a lot of chatter that 1200+ hires is essentially confirmed for 2026. Been thinking a lot about the interview going sideways and what I’ll do different next time around. I’m really hoping that I can make a career at Delta before long, seems like there’s a lot to be excited about. Following this thread just brings a lot of good feelings out.

The company has, however, confirmed that they will extract more from the existing pilot group to account for growth.
