When I call for flaps, I want them. Spin my bugs, like I tell you. I'm hand flying. Don't delay. Thank you.

Majority of of folks can't keep up when I'm hand flying. So we are somewhat hamstrung to use the automation as they are the lowest common denominator.

What say you?
You’re probably the guy that starts his brief with “I’m laid back and standard”…

I’m actually beginning to wonder, myself, if he is an actual Delta pilot or not.

Worse. He’s a Delta copilot. The behavior he describes would not (should not) have passed muster in the sims, on IOE, during his mid phase, or with any Captains during the probationary year. If I were him I’d reread the FOM about the duties and responsibilities of each seat.

Thanks. I'm thinking he's just trolling

He said fly an RNAV departure *SINGLE* pilot with no FD or automation. So there's no one to spin your bugs super fast for you like you need it.

I say you are off topik...might I set your heading bug to a skulling of 169 to re-interkept the thread topic, or you kan put your kompass on 269 and exit this konversation ASAP!

Now, back on topic...anyone heard how long after passing the online assessment are they receiving invite to ATL for in-person interview?

Nope.

Nice try using that tired and off used cliche.

Please try harder.

Crude and clumsy and really has worn itself out.

Nah, I was just answering not enough. That's all.

If I'm out to lunch mods are pretty good about deleting that kinda stuff.

I trust their judgement.

Nope, I'm on the line, flying about the system. It's pretty sad the level of support we get as the PF when truly "hand flying". Maybe we don't do it enough?? Makes the PM job much harder BTW. you'd know that though if you actually flew in the airlines, which I'm pretty sure you don't

Mind you I've got this little thing on my wall from TPS, so I might be a bit more skilled than your average RJ driver and can probably think for at least 10 of us, versus your 2 dimensional thought processes.

I rarely hand fly anymore as the guy sitting next to me often struggles with working the MCP and radios simultaneously. I kick on George now most of the time once we get the flaps retracted (and leave him on until about 1000 agl) 'casue now all they have to do is struggle with the comms. I'll fly the jet with george.

Just my observations.

How many times do I have to ask you for flaps 5 before I reach down and do it myself?

I'd like to know your thoughts.

(How many times do we interrogative before we determine someone is incapacitated again??)
