Yes sir! Recently got me out of a terrible reserve assignment.
It cost me a GS1 that didnt pay much, but it was worth it to operate 2 legs and be gone less than 20 hours, rather than fly way more legs with dh, long sits and gone 3 full days.

Ok thanks. So recently, I was on off days on RSV, assigned a legit reserve trip about two days out from day-1. All good. Then ARCOS rings on my off days, I accept and am awarded a GS that starts on my last off day and goes into the previously assigned LC trip. Check my sked, the new GS trip is posted, the original reserve trip is now gone. Fast forward about 20 minutes, I get a call from a Delta number, didn't answer. I check my sked, the GS is now gone, my schedule is now cleared with no trips, and that same GS I had was awarded to a junior guy as GS#1......So i'm a bit confused (typical) as to what all played out. And side note, im showing on my time card pay in the reserve green slip pay section. So I think im getting paid for the dropped GS too? I figure a call to CS to inquire would be like calling the help desk in Manila with home internet issues........

No good point. And yea I accepted and acknowledged it like other GS's i've done. And having done no GS'ing yet for Oct, and having GS pay showing up on my time card just had me wondering is all. I'm still in first world problem territory here.

Strange. Did you call scheduling and ask what was up? I've done this numerous times without issue. If their answer doesn't make sense, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Nearly simultaneous to the RSV assignment, ARCOS called for a same day GS trip. Scheduling called shortly after the ARCOS response timed ended, and I appeared to be the most senior that responded. They were calling about the RSV assignment (why they called in an off day for a such an assignment I have no idea). They told me “the GS was awarded to someone junior as it would a GS with conflict for me.” That seemed wrong but I was out enjoying my day off. After a few mins, I called back for clarification, and was awarded the GS.
Never hurts to call when something doesn’t make
sense.

In addition to the other advice you've gotten: §23.Q.6.c.Exception: is the contractual reference for this. Note the language is slightly sloppy wrt 2nd-day coverage under the new contract--instead of "same day," it should read (and has been applied as if it reads), "same day or next day"--i.e., if you have a RES assignment for the next day or 2nd day, a GS for current or next day is NOT a GSWC, it's applied "without regard" to any such RES assignment.
