YES, The SRH is vetted through the company, and is as legally binding as the PWA (along with all Scheduling Alerts).

Also, CS has until 2 hours before report to correct mistakes, so don’t let them tell you “it’s too late” if outside 2 hours. That knife cuts both ways.

Either I didn’t read all the new rules associated with the assigning trips 2 days out, or this is a case of ‘didn’t see that coming’. Looking at PSB for NYC320A, and there is a trip posted by a someone who was assigned the trip on reserve yesterday…trip leaves tomorrow. Anyone have experience with this wrinkle?

You can't psb as a reserve I'm pretty sure

I would guess the original pilot had a PD and PSB request in. The PD finally went through but the system doesn’t delete the PSB request.

To gain some color on rotation award history:

Schedules>Open Time Menu>Open Time

enter the bes you want to look at. Rotation number and its departure date. No need to select # of days. Then click pilot history.

I had the benefit of this jewel a few weeks ago. Had a 5 day with a red eye start assigned two and a half days out. Next morning a GS calls for a 4 day with the same red eye leaving that night. One operating leg a day with a cool cap. Got a little scratch, and a PB day for a day I preferred to be home.

what's a cool cap? If you take a GS proffer that conflicts with a future trip on the schedule, does crew scheduling just find a replacement for you?

The original trip should go through the coverage ladder again.

I don’t know what a cool cap is though. Maybe they only wear their hat on green slip trips?

I believe he was referencing a "cool captain" that he was going to fly with.
