This is absolutely not the same situation as CNO.

The current MEC has been getting walked all over by the company for a year now. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them agree with the company’s position at this point.

The company will keep pushing the limits until we make a few more changes on the ALPA side.

SK on Facebook said that everybody needs to email their LEC reps to demand a cease and desist. I agree. Posting on here is not where energy should be spent. Email reps first!

Between CNO 'change' in practive for SC, Positive Space 'reinterpritation' (and retraction), 65:00 min guarnatee STILL not being paid properly, increase in GFB calls, managment seems to really be trying to turn the screws down. All while smiling and saying they are putting in extra effort to fix pay.

Reportedly, there are at least some ALPA reps who have looked into this and are stating nothing (should have) changed, that the ALPA rep normall on the floor is looking into the facts, and they are pursuing it. The SRH says in Black and White on page 54/55 that PR go in the bank. That's as binding as the PWA.

If some middle manager went rogue, they need a very public (symbolic) flogging. This is totally unsat.

Dont forget the pay audit the company did recently. Seems like the company feels more than usual that they can do whatever they want with no consequences.

Agreed. This is a very disturbing trend. This PR day issue, if true as depicted (and I don't see any reason to believe otherwise) is as black and white outrageous as if some rogue payroll supervisor decided that our pay rates were too high, and therefore we were all getting shorted $50 an hour going forward--just because.

I strongly suspect that someone real high up on the management side had some serious buyers' remore about our contract and sometime in the past few months issued a "call to arms" to find any issue, real or mostly imagined, to try and scrape back a few pennies from the pilot group. Bad, bad policy that should backfire spectacularly.

Excellent addition. It’s one thing to say, “new policy, and from this point forward…”

But to change things without a word, and worse, go back and take pay from people is unconscionable, IMO, honorable organizations don’t just retroactively change long-standing practice.

I think it goes beyond a single rogue middle manager. Management has always had some degree of contempt for us. The difference is they used to respect the MEC, PWA, and pilot group.

Only about 4 years ago, Ed called the MEC (chaired by RS at the time) the “Most difficult MEC he has ever worked with.” They hammered out some good deals for the pilot group during the Covid era, all while fully protecting the PWA.

We’ve come a long way since then. The current MEC simply doesn’t have management’s respect. We’re seeing the consequences almost continuously.

This could all be fixed with a transparent pay reconciliation that draws a direct line from our time cards to paychecks.

I’ll be honest I haven’t been auditing every paycheck because I don’t want to put an hour plus into it twice a month - nor should I have to.

No faster way to pi$$ off your employees than screwing around with their pay…particularly without saying anything.
